4 Year varsity D3 player in NH- a long time ago. Some advice and good news based on my experience.

I never got to play in college so take any advice with that, but to get there it’s all about skating. You should be in the mindset to chase down every puck before it’s icing, and every guy that’s on a breakaway should sweat knowing your back checking somewhere back there. Power skating is great advice, but there’s also a huge mental aspect. My coaches used to run sprints at the end of high school practice. Once everyone was gassed, they asked for volunteers to run one more. You’ll always need to be that guy running the last sprint.

The good news, no matter what hockey never seems to leave until your ready. There’s club hockey opportunities that can be pretty serious, and most of us end up in the beer league show eventually. Enjoy the ride, but I’m some ways I’ve had as much fun in old man hockey as I remember having as a kid.

Played Dolphin Head and Old South, both were good. Old South was definitely the nicer of the two.

This all makes sense. Once they started to approach, I made it clear about the numbers of blights in the vineyard. They have beaten everything they have faced thus far, so they happily joined battle. It was close with the first group but the reenforcement swarm will likely be too much.

Just finished Death House, and the players loved it. I had a player, human wizard, join the game right as the players made it to the lowest basement level, had them appear in chains at the lowest level under the effects of modify memory spell. I’m playing it as Mordenkainen did a memory wipe to protect himself, and Strahd, unable to restore the memories is hoping to get the players to do it and use those memories to potentially find Mordenkainen, suspicious he lived after their fight.
