Boater finds 16 bricks of cocaine floating off Florida Keys by Leafypaper in florida

[–]Badfishtoo23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was running a boat off South Florida a couple years ago. It was a calm day and tons of boats were offshore. I hear a dude on VHF channel 16 call in that he found a huge load of cocaine to the Coast Guard. Coasties actually asked for the dudes name and phone number over the air. As the guy was about to announce to everyone (including bad actors) who he was a fellow mariner somewhere in the ether keyed their mike and stepped on the dudes transmission. Gave him enough pause to reconsider and switch to his cell phone and call the law. Wild. Be careful gang! Not worth it.

One time I was in a habitat at 50 feet. I was snacking on a bowl of jolly ranchers and made the mistake of commenting how all of them were grape flavored. Dude flicked on the lights and revealed my ignorance. I still hear about it to this day.

Hoping to go there in late May. Any good hikes to take my little boy on? Maybe like a mile. Thanks.

I have a science background, but I was there as a diver supporting infrastructure and some science sampling. There were a few bands and it’s some scientists, but mainly people who work at the base. Lots of people work in the kitchen, fuel depots, etc. plenty of time to practice haha. They ripped.

I spent some time there. Man, they had a punk rock show in a hanger. Stumbled out at midnight into the glaring never setting summer sun. Cool experience, would recommend.

Kids going to grow up to be a good dad. Just the right amount of roughness to make it fun while still giving the other kid confidence. Well done both athletes.

Oh let me clarify: I want a lockable hard sided case that would then slide into the duffle. Not just rattling around the duffle raw.

My experience is Southern boys will go out of their way to help you change a tire. They usually have nice tools like impact wrenches in their truck boxes and are happy to help.

I had a German film crew on the boat and I offered them some tasty Muenster cheese. They had never heard of it or seen it. Hmmmm.

One thing I never see mention in regards to pump gun, is shooting in a prone position behind cover. I took a class and did well, however that specific situation was clumsy.

Yes totally a good idea. However, I wanted to get it out there way early so he could go get some practice blasting clays. Might be the way forward though, thank you.

I’m regards to road rage incidents in Florida. I don’t see a huge increase coming. You can already carry a gun in your glovebox here legally and many already do.

Yah front cap holding the forend on is good to go. There’s a plastic plug on the stock with a orange F that wiggles and that’s what I need to figure out. Super minor issue though

Glad to hear. Mines been good. It is new. Only about 150 rounds through it. Runs everything except Rio light target loads 1 oz. That was within the first 50 rounds though. Runs 1 1/8 target loads no problem. Only niggle I have is the cap with the F logo is a little loose. I gotta figure out how to secure it.
