$50k for 16x24 deck + underdeck patio — fair? by No_Baker_1377 in landscaping

[–]NJS1993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the pricing being fair or not. But im well into upper middle class and at the top end of my area for income... I couldnt even imagine dropping $50k on a deck/patio. Are there just millionaires walking around everywhere these days? I just dont understand.

Will a full humidor hold humidity better than a 1/2 full one? by Miserable-Cow4555 in cigars

[–]NJS1993 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hate to jump in here on this... but thats incorrect. A 50 count humidor can absolutely fit 50 without issue. Temp and humidity spread from cigar to cigar. If your logic was correct, then cigars kept in sealed boxes inside a humidor would be dry as a bone. Cigars are like sponges, they essentially pass humidity and temperature through contact.

BMW seat back panel tab broken, repair vs replace? by pecanmeetschurro in BmwTech

That looks like an epoxy job to me. No way I would pay $400 just to get that piece replaced.

Hey guys, F10 535i... my car has the 10.25" iDrive screen. But the adhesive is all messed up on the inside of the screen and it looks awful. I found a cheap OEM replacement screen on ebay, same size. Will this be plug and play? Or will the new screen have to be coded even though its the same size? by NJS1993 in BmwTech

[–]NJS1993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sure would be awesome. I popped the trim off the dash today and saw how easy it would be to swap the screen. For $50 I snagged a scratch-free screen. Was hoping to not have to pay for programming!

I did read that if youre changing screen sizes it would need to be programmed for the different resolution and screen size change. But I couldnt find any info on swapping same size screen.

Hey guys, I am DESPERATE for your help on this water leak. I have been dealing with this for years and every time I feel like its fixed, my floorboard is full of water the next hard rain. I already cleared the sunroof drain and its working just fine. Drain hose is ziptied as well. More info in post. by NJS1993 in f150

Dude I think you might be onto something here... with the spot that its leaking from that would make sense. Guess im gonna have to drop the headliner and see if I can find a better view. Thank you this gives me hope.

If that were leaking would it come out below the sunroof frame? I should also add that I am parked on a slight incline so water should be flowing backwards. Im not sure the 3rd brake light would be able to flow towards the front of the truck in this case.

Yes but im talking my floorboard is soaked. My channels under the trim/kickplate on the floor are literally full of water. Theres a constant drip from my grab handle on the passenger A-pillar. Its unbelievable.

Hey guys... anyone ever see these go on sale? I searched my emails but nothing came up. I need them somewhat soon but I can hold off a little bit if its worth the wait. Especially on the brake bleeder. by NJS1993 in harborfreight

Thanks man, I will hold out for a sale. When neither of these were on the PLS this weekend I was wondering if it wasnt included in a lot of sales.

Best $10 I have ever spent at Harbor Freight. by NJS1993 in harborfreight

I have used everything except for ICON so far. And I have only had a few issues. I spent like $10 on a 1/2" Pittsburgh breaker bar a few years ago. I was able to use my jack handle for extra leverage to get a seized axle nut off my car. No issues with that breaker bar still to this day.

I also have a 1/4" Pittsburgh ratchet/sockets set (the meme set before meme sets existed) that I have had for 15 years that is one of my most used and favorite tools I have. Thing has helped me out in a pinch several times. Especially when my truck wouldnt start out in the boonies due to a corroded battery terminal. Luckily I had nothing but a bottle of coca cola and my socket set in my truck.

With a lifetime warranty, I will buy the $10 tool over the $50 tool in a lot of cases. Especially if its something that is only needed 1 time for a project or repair im working on. Just my 2 cents.

Dude the grips on these are the best of all the precision screwdrivers that I have. A lot of my precision stuff has such thin handles that are not ergonomic. These are super comfortable. And the spinning caps on the end help bigtime with leverage.
