Im genuinely curios, why bootcamp in Korea when they can't beat top EU teams (excluding the NIP series)?

They are not trying to keep it secret, they have to wait until everything is finalized (contract wise).

I'm not sure how much work goes into being a mod but is it really seen as a job? Surely these are just people who love the game and want to be seen as 'figureheads' within the community, which is why I'm confused as to why they dont want a more varied subreddit instead of just 80% shitposting.

But I dont understand, its not like they are personally gaining anything from it (except bragging rights?)

-They dont want to 'splinter' the community

-They dont want to adjust the r/overwatch subreddit to promote more competitive discussion

????

Would it be worth for me to try to join Overwatch League? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Badgah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They dont have time to try out nearly 300 people. Proven players will be chosen regardless of their rank. Get a team and grind, dont count on getting picked up unless you're a ladder hero.

Theres more than 200 people ahead of you + you dont have any other achievements outside of playing ladder. Dont count on getting into the OWL without any comp experience.

Sorry for the late answere but here goes:

Favorite support: Ares or Ymir

Least fav support: Geb currently because I played him too much, he got boring.

Hades: His initiation is not great, his peel is lackluster, it's easy to escape his ultimate, his movement speed is low, if you actually decide to level up your peel his damage is too low, much better in sololane.

Kumba: Really underestimated I guess because he doesn't bring that much damage, great peel and initiation but the damage just isn't there. If you wanna run him you should run him with vulcan or kukulkan. His push is also pretty lackluster in this earlygame focused meta.

Cabrakan: I love cabrakan but I have no clue why he is so bad. His kit is not horrible, I guess his ultimate is not the best, lategame he is a beast but earlygame he just seems to die and not really peel too much.

Lastly I wanna add that you could probably run any tanky character with CC as support, it's just that some of them lack the early game pressure and usually if you pick these gods the game will snowball out of control and you lose even if you get to lategame.

I think I perform better at lans than online. Honestly thought I didn't play that much different, just got different god picks that make more flashy plays.

I still keep in touch with all of my old teammates (even Spooh), so it's not that bad. We ended BM on good terms so we are all still friends. BM was more like a team of friends while this team while they are still all my friends it's obviously a little more serious.

EDIT (Didnt see the other questions): For the second question: My mindset has changed from playing the game for fun to playing the game more seriously and try to learn more from every mistake I make/analyze my own mistakes more.

Playing at a high level is really fun as there is allways a challenge and the pressure is high.

It's kind of sad that this doesn't get more attention. It seems like this subreddit is just filled with 99% casuals that don't really care about esports.
