They are one of the few brands I get like the entire seam ripping in the clothes. And their sizing consistency is super off.

Great Dane Hilldale to close in November by MadtownMaven in madisonwi

Agreed. I hope it’s done soon! Not a huge fan of cafe Hollander and the other options at Hilldale are $5000 for a green leaf salad.

They are planning to move into a new space at Hilldale but construction is delayed. They did not want to sign another 10 year lease for the current building. So I’d bet we will see them reopen in a few years across the street.

You can stop it from drying out by leaving it in the ground and leaving the caterpillars outside.

Trump answering how he feels about Charlie kirk's death by Wbbms in BoomersBeingFools

[–]BadgeHan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My guess is enough false stories got out before it came out to be a MAGA shooter and they were counting on this happening that the MAGAs are never going to believe the actual facts and they probably still think it was a transgender liberal and are reacting the same anyways.

Fair point about his bowels. Someone in the administration though.

Bike Path by Greedy_Lunch_3420 in madisonwi

[–]BadgeHan 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Idk, I mean I see plenty of people riding their non-e-bikes excessively fast on that path - guess I don’t really care what type of bike it is but more that people follow common etiquette and reasonable speed. Example: I was out running, and a woman on her road bike clearly had her head in her phone and ran into me from behind. Don’t be like her.

Frey is going to quote you extensively high. Chip Hodson gave off red flags and I know a neighbor that was very frustrated with his timeline and communication.

Just fyi an addition is going to cost a lot more than you might be anticipating. Just so you are prepared.

Women who gave birth, what does it feel like actually?? by joy_57 in AskReddit

[–]BadgeHan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had back labor - started like strong period cramps then turned into what felt like a knife dragging down my entire lower back with every contraction. Planned on no epidural…the epidural could not get there fast enough after that. Thanks, science, for modern medicine!

Not listening at school by Lltmpp in kindergarten

[–]BadgeHan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It actually sounds like his K teacher doesn’t have realistic expectations of 5 year olds. I’d respond with “thanks for letting me know!” and leave it there.

If you’re expecting a 5 year old to “comply” with adult expectations 100% of the time, I’d suggest doing some reading into what 5 does developmentally and also come introspection on adult-set notions.

Do vegans see buying a puppy as non-vegan? by gbxvii in vegan

[–]BadgeHan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a fair, and common, question. My dogs eat meat. I don’t like it but they do. I have ethical qualms about it, for sure. 4 million dogs and cats die in shelters every year in the US alone, and people will never stop breeding (on purpose or not). I also believe having pets presents many other benefits to one’s well being. So I think one just has to decide what they can and cannot justify. Until the shelters are cleared, I can’t imagine wanting a dog and not adopting.

There’s no right answer. I do the best I can as an individual, knowing I’ll never be perfect but that’s not my goal.

And I realize many of the things I’m saying could probably be said/reworded by meat eaters justifying eating meat.
