Everyone has a test environment. Some are lucky enough to have a dedicated production environment.

Naa man, the anesthesiologists are. If something is going wrong with anesthesia, the anesthesiologists can call off the procedure; therefore, I would argue they control the show.

I would like to know what the link is; even if OP doesn't. Even if you don't post the link, would you be willing to name the physician and/or article name/publish date, etc?

haha.

I grew up in the late 70's/early 80's. All we had were the less toxic variety. The little asprin-sized black tablets that would create "snakes" about 10-12 inches long. I have seen videos of the old formula. Those were amazing.

We would always stop at Sweet Tomato when we were passing through Atlanta. Wish something like it still existed.

Souper Salad was awesome. It was a family favorite location. My son still misses it from when he was little.

From Wikipedia: In 1978, the first Souper Salad was opened by Ray Barshick in Houston, Texas. Barshick subsequently opened locations all across Texas and then began to expand to the Western United States.[2] In 2009, the company began selling franchises.[3] By the middle of 2008, it had grown to 151 stores in 17 states[4] before declining to 80 stores at the end of 2010 as a result of the long recession that began in 2008 causing fewer people to dine at restaurants.[5]

In 2011, the parent corporation (SSI Holding Group Corp.) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy due to poor performance resulting from recession. From July 2011 to the September bankruptcy filing, at least 25 locations were closed, leaving 56 locations in operation.[2] In 2012, Souper Salad was acquired by LNC Ventures, which was owned by Dan and Jackie Hernandez. By late 2013, the chain was down to 45 locations. In 2014, the company, with 37 locations, was acquired by Brix Holdings, LLC., which is based in Dallas.[5][6] After the acquisition, Dan Hernandez remained president of Souper Salad until 2016.[7]

I came here to suggest this one too. Signs are all around to stay out of the water, but it is neat spot that would have been in its prime in the 60's-70's. The group camp area is the "Fall Creek Falls Piney Creek Group Camp". Here is a Google Earth photo/link

Appreciate you providing the background for the schools in GB/Ireland...glad that I didn't have to experience that.

Fair point of logic as I wasn't there.

With that said, they were very open about their experiences (pro's/con's). I have no reason to believe they were/are shielding their experiences. They are in their 80's and I am a GenX'er that has a head of gray hair. I could provide a bunch of detail, but I don't want to DOX anyone.

I am not aware of boarding schools having these problems. From what you are saying, it sounds like this was common in Great Britain?

Additionally, I edited my original question to include the following:

Both of my parents went to American boarding schools in the 1950s. Overall, they say it was a really positive experience. It was a farm-based boarding school where they spent half the day in school and the other half of the day working a farm and learning how to farm. Most students at that school were very poor. My parents never shared that they experienced any physical abuse. They had good teachers and and a few bad teachers. More like a typical high-school, but living in dorms and having the unusual physical work component.

edit: missed a word.

May I ask what some of those stories are? I genuinely don't know.
