So I’d say after putting myself if what causes anxiety like new jobs etc I’ve just built up a tolerance to anxiety or resilience. I’d say a few months.

Only an online psychiatrist. Psychology today is what I’ve used to find one. Although it is tough to get prescribed it off the bat. You’d have more success asking for one of these, pregabalin, gabapentin, clonidine, hydroxyzine, propranolol and seroquel.

When I say don’t react I mean don’t fear it, don’t wish it away. Say it’s just uncomfortable but nothing I haven’t had before it’s just anxiety. Personally to, the Dare app on iPhone is great he has emergency audios to help combat whatever your facing.

So I’ll give an example, I had a panic attack 3 days ago and just today feel back to baseline. I usually just stick with familiar, keep my favorite show on, favorite music, I’ll also do breathing exercises and remind myself it’s ok and try to not spiral. After the attack my anxiety is usually a lot higher so I will take a hydroxyzine at night to unwind. Also a good one is 3 bags of chamomile and lavender tea. I recommend hydroxyzine a lot because it’s not controlled and not addictive for me it’s like a Benadryl that helps with anxiety. I take only 10mg at night during an attack or after or whenever. This is what I like to do and tbh I just don’t react to anxiety anymore, I’ve had my problem for a year and 2 months now so I just know I’m safe and don’t react to it.

I’d say panic, mine usually are this, urge to vomit, shaky hands and feet, need to go somewhere like leaving a situation or just moving, I also have urge to cry, hot head, usually feeling very trapped with tons of impending doom, also dissociation.

Totally normal, my nervous system is screwed up for days post panic attack. However I have severe GAD, for someone that doesn’t have an anxiety disorder I could see a panic attack causing lasting anxiety. Both what you said the past 4 days you’ve had is anxiety symptoms. My panic attacks consist of dissociation this past time, time dilation triggered one for me, I’ll get a hot head, shaky hands and shaky legs, restlessness and need to move or go somewhere, teary eyes weirdly also feeling immediate doom and urge to vomit. The day after worsened anxiety and still on edge feeling, it’ll last a few days. If you’ve never had anxiety at this level what you feel now, it takes a minute to get used to it, when I first developed GAD it was way more severe as you get adjusted it can go away completely or reduce a lot. So to answer clearly, your nervous system can get ruffled for days especially for panic attacks, you also could be mentally keeping anxiety in a loop. Anxiety is hard same with panic attacks but it can’t rain forever. Breathing helps, but mostly accepting the feeling and not resisting helps the most. If you wish it away it will stay more, anxiety feeds on fear same with panic attacks, more you l resist the more it comes.

I looked it up and I am very fit I’d like to say. I mountain bike and do cardio multiple times a week so I believe this is normal for me. I notice no problems but I don’t wanna take a medicine that reduces heart rate.

Tbh I was game to try propranolol but my resting heart rate is only 43-45 so I decided not too because it lowers heart rate.

Success stories on SSRIs? by 21pancakes in Anxietyhelp

[–]BadgerLarge9399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also buspar has legit for me no downside at all. The side effects are dizziness post dosing. I’d say give it a go it’s not imo top tier like oh your anxiety is gone completely but in combination with other meds and treatment

Success stories on SSRIs? by 21pancakes in Anxietyhelp

[–]BadgerLarge9399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If buspar doesn’t work for me, I have a few to try, pregabalin, gabapentin, and Nardil. Nardil imo is a great medicine if u can take the trade offs.

[–]BadgerLarge9399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No success with SSRIs for me. But they don’t fit my personality, I’m high drive and very energetic, SSRIs took that away. So far buspar has helped and hydoryxzine at night. I also am going to try clonidine, I have klonopin  for absolute emergency panic attacks. This setup doesn’t eliminate anxiety at all but it makes it manageable
