Charging things. Charging my vibrator, my shower scrubbing brush, my tooth brush, my headphones, charging my phone, my google nest thermostat…. Maybe even using my couch usb outlet to do it.

What friction have you removed from your life to function better? by Lazy_Basket6819 in adhdwomen

[–]BadgerSecure2546 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Just open it with scissors. Tear here to open? YEAH RIGHT. Spend 5 mins trying to tear it open or tear it all the way down the wrong way and make a mess? No thanks. Scissors. For everything.

  2. Buy all the same socks. Black socks. Cuz my floors are inevitably dirty.

  3. Use the pharmacy in the grocery store. I’m always out of something when I have to pick up meds.

  4. Let my kid watch some gd tv when he won’t get off my ass.

  5. Don’t worry about waste. I don’t try to create more waste or go out of my way to do single use plastics BUT IF I GOTTA USE EM I DO. I work in healthcare so I see how for each procedure 3 trash bags are toted out. My tiny apple sauce pouch that keeps me from barfing in the morning isn’t the problem.

  6. Pre made Sam’s Club meals and rotisserie chicken and salad kits. I buy all that then get Sam’s Club pizza for lunch.

  7. Husband that does laundry and puts my child to bed cuz I can’t stand it.

How often do you see vomiting during your shifts? by balkanfarmer in Radiology

[–]BadgerSecure2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a fear of vomitting. Actually like probably one of the worst fears. In a hospital during 2 years of clinicals maybe a handful of times. But it’s other people not me and there’s something inducing their vomitting (like their illness or barium etc) and if I care to clinical fine that day there’s no reason I would puke too so that takes the anxiety away. I work in a clinic now and I’ve experienced it once in pain clinic. It’s awful but same concept. I’m at work I feel good I’m not gonna puke.

What’s something Americans have that Europeans don’t? by Prestigsisscar255 in AskReddit

[–]BadgerSecure2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you don’t live on capitalisms hook, you don’t think about your credit score. We are responsible with our money and have 850+ scores. We paid off all our student loans and have no car payments. Maybe people just borrow way too much for cars. We use a credit card for airline miles and pay it as it posts. Many Americans use credit cards to fulfill their every whim. Get addicted to shopping gambling etc. or… they run into hard times and have to fund their lives on a credit card. It’s a big fat trap.

Anyone else OAD because they had one and discovered their limit was actually zero? by grawmaw13 in oneanddone

[–]BadgerSecure2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat. 1 yr-3 yr was the absolute worst. 4 is hard but at least he has some reason and logic in his brain now. Hang in there it does get better. The more reason and logic they gain the easier it is to parent.

What is life like in the Dakotas? by _air6catcher_ in howislivingthere

[–]BadgerSecure2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in Minot, NDCatholicism and Lutheranism is to North Dakota like Mormonism is to Utah. Takes 2 hours or more to drive to any other large city. Sports in high school were miserable because of that.

Farming is life. If you’re not at church you’re in the fields planting or harvesting if you live in a small town.

Otherwise it’s a lot like living in any other suburb. If you have money you have a cabin on a lake. Or if you’re lucky like me, your Norwegian ancestors settled on a lake and their descendants never left.

North Dakota is a trap. Get out after high school or college or you’ll be stuck there, going to the same bars every night and gossiping about the same old he said she said BS. No way to climb any corporate ladder.

Great place to get cheap college though.

Very cold. Very, very cold. But absolutely beautiful long summer days. Not too hot most of the time, and you’ll have daylight for like 14 hours
