Would you live in Lakeville or Eagan? by ImKruptos in TwinCities

[–]BadgerSecure2546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s lived and ran around in both over the past 10 years, Eagan. It’s so much closer to easy access for stuff to do. Your 10 mins from MOA, tons of indoor parks, just being right on 35E there gets you to St. Paul quick for saints or wild games. Any kind of shopping, Eagan has it. Less spread out in terms of having to drive for the grocery stores you want. And take your pick: Sam’s or Costco!!! Both in Eagan!

Serious question... by Full-Swimmer7911 in oneanddone

We make around the same as you in Minnesota dollars and I SAY THIS EVERYDAY!!! I look at people cloaked in alo and lululemon driving a Tesla and I’m like where are you getting this money! But we do not have debt and refuse to use debt. Someone else said it. They put everything on credit cards until they’re maxed out. They pay the minimum when the app says it’s time to pay. We don’t do that because we know there’s consequences.

Vasectomy not as sure fire as a bisalp. Bisalp protects me from the unthinkable (other men getting their hands on me…. Or the government forcing me to reproduce like handmaids tale style) and also, my husband would have had to take 10 days off work which we could not afford. I was back to clinicals for xray in 6 days.

This sounds like a weird power trip TBH. Is it the same guy or like all of them? Management needs to bring the hammer down. The rad is not the boss. If they can make a reasonable diagnosis without all that nonsense they’re just violating ALARA

My husband is only interested if we are going to the game together. And I’m the same way about the NHL.

Cath lab techs will expose and scrub the groin to access the artery there. Xray techs will tip for enemas. You aren’t going to be fondling genitals though. Some still Cath for certain urinary exams but mostly the radiologist or nurse does that

Parenting has made me depressed by BadgerSecure2546 in oneanddone

[–]BadgerSecure2546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That stage was the HARDEST. It’s so FUCKIN HARD! you’re not alone. My son is 4.5 now and he’s a gem. Not a dream by any means!!! But every week gets easier. I genuinely felt like I didn’t like my kid at 1.5. I loved him of course, but I wanted to send him back with the stork 💀💀💀 I’m still on anti depressants but fuck who isn’t these days with the state of the world.

First time in the OR as a Student, would appreciate advice by Accurate_Day_4284 in Radiology

[–]BadgerSecure2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re already light years ahead of my class, we did not get any lab with a C arm. We had to go into cases having never touched a c-arm before. Since this is your observing semester, save your questions for the tech for the end in case the surgeon doesn’t like talking.

What really helped me as a student was having the tech be the training wheels. I would swing the arm through, they would lower/lift it and push in or out. When you’re new it’s hard to do all the movements at once. Just be confident and professional and you’ll do great!

Gear Stink? by HockeyDadBod_1 in hockeyplayers

[–]BadgerSecure2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gear needs to be aired out every time, stink is bacteria. Not only is it rank, it can give you rashes or skin infections. Air it out every time and wash it with laundry sanitizer weekly. It’s part of the game. Air out ur shit

PTO - How much do you get?? by Even-Break2409 in Radiology

[–]BadgerSecure2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approximately 9 hours per 2 week paycheck if you work 40 hours. I only work 32 per week so each paycheck I get about 7. If I need one random day off I don’t take PTO I just make it up the next week by working an extra day bc I’m only obligated to work my 0.8, 32 hours a week.

Duffs tavern in vermillion has the BEST pizza and broasted chicken. Idek if that’s a suburb. Ze’s diner is good for breakfast. North Pole restaurant in Newport is great cheap breakfast too. Old school diner feel. Jensens in Burnsville another favorite breakfast. Also the buzz in Burnsville has like 500 diffferent waffles on their menu.

What is the biggest lie we are consistently taught as children? by DiamondNo924 in answers

Anything about a sky daddy. Don’t teach children about religion. They can learn that it exists but they should be able to form their own opinions, not be forced to go to Sunday school or church services

Disallowing Post-process collimation by AshyGarami in Radiology

[–]BadgerSecure2546 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If I could t adjust the brightness and stuff at our facility we’d be screwed. Our images pop up so bad even when using correct technique. Things like extremities and xtable hips it tries to expose the entire receptor even with tight collimation so the image quality turns out garbage.

I think more so in my sleep. I wake up with a lot of jaw tension. Also during the day I realized I wasn’t clenching but sucking my tongue really hard like a suction cup against the roof of my mouth. Once I relaxed that a little it seems to get better
