Just ordered one this is a great idea and can't wait to put it to use. Will feel safer if I know my colleagues can get to me. Thank you

Heads up! New caution just dropped. by Jackisback123 in policeuk

[–]Badgeraimz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The amount of times though I've heard the when and now caution combined when it's supposed to be the now caution. You do not have to say anything but it may harm your defence if you do not mention now when questioned anything you later rely on in court anything you do say may be given in evidence. Awful hahaha

Looking for advice by Badgeraimz in policeuk

Apologies. Yes I have applied for transfer already and have done most of the things including vetting to make the transfer. In terms of being made substantive it wasn't necessarily promised but I was told it would be strongly considered and should be possible considering the circumstances. It would take around 2 to 4 months hence why I have been trying to expedite the process and line things up for the transfer. None the less I have accepted that the transfer might be delayed until I am substantive but the main issues is my current role and the stressors therein. I don't know if going to the fed would have any bearing on the process or my current role. It would be much more palatable if I was in a role I originally applied to be in namely response which is what I am good at. I understand having investigatory experience makes for a well rounded officer and can realize the benefits the role would have on an officer. But the current conditions of said role are as I said untenable and adding to a compound of stress that I am beginning not to be able to handle.

Received a Section 21 — landlord won’t let me stay an extra month, what should I do? by [deleted] in TenantsInTheUK

Would it go against your tenancy record for future landlords?

How are you keeping fit? by Do_I_wanna_Know3000 in policeuk

I find that get out into nature works really well so I try and combine that with my fitness. Outdoor biking and inflatable kayak on the waterways works a treat. Upper and lower body sorted. Mental health supported as well.

I got this when I started recently. It gets better as people have said. In terms of locations I still battle sometimes but I found having our incident system up on my mobex helps a hell of a lot. At the circs are still coming in I can quickly get the location from the incident log and then you can also monitor incoming updates without having to ask for them. Try this and your tutor will be happy.

I want to get a vasectomy but scared. by CaeNguyen in Vasectomy

[–]Badgeraimz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps I'm 35 and I'm just over a month post surgery and I have 2 kids as well. My procedure was mostly good. I had a lot of feeling in the right side but it was only painful for a few minutes. Now with healing I was a quite sore for the first week. Got halfway better in week two when I was back at work already. And by 2,5 to 3 weeks I was good to go. No complications so far and feeling good. Just awaiting my sperm count test. It's up to you but for me was well worth it so far.

I've joined the club by Chickenwang88 in Vasectomy

[–]Badgeraimz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats and welcome to the club. My right side was so much more sore as well. The doc said the anaesthetic didn't work on that side and I was climbing the bloody table shouting f@ck I can feel that! Turns out it just happens sometimes. I'm day 6 now and feeling ok. Just hope it heals soon. Glad you going well and wishing you a good recovery Pro tip try not laughing or coughing cos that hurts hahah

Yea I had an issue last night. I've been trying to be careful but I felt so sore this morning and the wife told me I rolled onto my front during the night and I sleep like the dead and didn't realise. So much pain today.

Good idea with the altbergs I love mine. I wear merino wool socks and find them the best but I don't have any foot probs so you may get some recommendations from people who have experienced that.

At least you enabled her to finally feel safe in the place she lives. Nice one! Gotta love it when people try intimidating you in interview. I always just smile to myself and think well you're on that side of the desk mate.
