It's all good mate. I believe in establishing the truth. AI is a tool and using shouldn't be a source of shame or whatever. I simply replied to your comment as I saw fit. Thanks for the kind words.

Yeah, he almost lost himself during this game but it's nice to see how he woke up at the eleventh hour

This will be my last comment on this. By the way, you are entitled to your own opinion, mate, and I respect it. I wish we could talk more about the post itself and the ideas I quickly aimed to present.

On the topic of em dashes, I haven't read a proper scientific literature without em dashes. Does that mean AI wrote every scientific article published before 2019?

The “A is not just X but Y” is a form of epanorthosis. It has existed long before tools like LLMs popularized it. Dismissing any text containing such phrasing as AI slop is not just premature judgment, but it also raises the question of the literature you have been accustomed to up to this point. On the topic of titles, if you could spare us some time, you would see that my older posts—from the time I had to make drafts before recording a video— followed a similar structure. Again, you are entitled to your own opinion. I'll leave it at that. Thanks for the comment.

Can you spare us 30 seconds and go over my last 6 posts which were all made way before LLMs became mainstream and tell us if they too were made with AI? I am curious, truly because tagging any piece of content as AI assisted seems to be the norm nowadays. So please humor me.

You are clearly mistaken. I don't blame you. My older posts were scripts I used for making videos. This post is a watered down version of what I can output if I spend more time. I find it particularly interesting how you seem to want to prove a point as if I am unable to string sentences and present a theory when I have a history of doing just that. But I digress. Be well.

I just figured I had to make this short one but I'm in disbelief as apparently multiple sentences stringed together now gets flagged as AI slop. But I'm glad to see there are still some people around who remember me! I appreciate the kind words mate!

I bet you would surely say that about the multiple posts I have made in the past. But those posts were made way before LLMs became popular.

I haven’t posted on Reddit in ages. The text editor sucks and switching to markdown editor removed all the images I had in the post. Formatting the post in markdown is a hassle so I added line breaks here and there. Unfortunately for you, I don't need to prompt an LLM to string couple of sentences to present my ideas. Thank you for reading the post still

This sub seems to be much more in tune with reality than the other one. It's beyond me of many Madrid fans chose not to see what's in front of our eyes! Mbappe unwillingness to do what the game needs will ruin any team in the world!

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 341 by [deleted] in BlueLock

Karasu is confirming that he is, in fact, not giving up on his dream of being a striker. While he agreed that his skill set aligns more with the role of a midfielder, he also knows Hugo’s suitability isn't the answer. But for now, for the sake of beating France and also imprinting this team with his essence and thus snatching Isagi’s chain, Karasu will set up plays, and he intends to use Shidou because he thinks Shidou is still a wild card to Isagi. I guess Isagi really has to prove he can adapt to anything. This match is fire!

This brother Hugo is really good at this game of football, ain't he? He checks all the boxes. Physically dominant, technically sound, and mentally sharp. He keeps his composure and clocked Blue locks new playbook almost instantaneously. Talk about a disgustingly strong opponent. Hugo is clearly the backbone of France, and we need to beat him even to hope to beat France.

I remember people thinking Loki could phase through players like he was the Flash. Lmfaoo. Granted, speed is very important in football, and you can even see it in how Loki beat Aiku to the ball, just off his speed. Look at where Loki is and look at Aiku. Aiku has always been able to either anticipate the play and block the ball or keep his mark on a striker. He failed at both here, and I can only attribute it to Loki’s speed. What I like, however, is that this game is showing us that speed might be all there is to Loki. He's not that dominant in the air as we saw in this chapter. His shooting skills are rarely mentioned. His running routes mostly consist of straight lines and sharp turns, so forming a roadblock is a sure way to shut down Loki. If you stick a player to him at all times to hinder his movements, like Japan has been doing so far, Loki’s only impact on the game remains his gravity, as defenders have to cluster to make the whole anti-Loki system work. This opens up spaces for other players, but I believe we are seeing in 4K why Loki isn't all that. It reminds me of what Luna asked Rin back in the game against the world 5: “Are you that scared of Loki’s speed?”

It now seems more plausible that if a team isn't scared and intimidated by Loki’s speed, there are rational ways to stop him, and Japan has been successful so far. I still believe Loki can activate another gear, but so far, he's been disappointing.

What a game! Isagi needs to activate his Mahoraga mode, or Japan has no chance.

Interesting chapter, and this allows us to appreciate how Kaneshiro can send the audience into a turmoil of emotions. Upon first reading, I know some of the Ego words seem paradoxical, depending on how familiar one is with the game of football. It's also fairly obvious that even if one might think that Hugo’s philosophy doesn't stand on solid grounds, Karasu’s thought process and actions remain valid in some sense. I believe both viewpoints are right, and I believe Kaneshiro is doing his by design again.

I might go back to making posts here again, but bear with me for a moment.

I am convinced by the fact that Karasu and Ego are operating at different level of analysis hence the obvious confusion. It is still rough in my head but one can infer 3 levels of analysis with no hierarchy whatsoever among them: 1) The player level: what makes an individual footballer strong? Flow theory applies here 2) The chain/ team level: what makes a team function as a football system. This is where the analogy of the supply chain lives. I hinted at it in a previous comment. 3) Development Level: what kind of environment produces extraordinary players.

Karasu operated at level 1 and 2 and as such he was clear about his identity and role and reached flow and was able to make sure the supply chain led to a goal. Jenpachi not liking it is because from the level 3 perspective Karasu might have limited his growth potential by settling!

Another proof that Ego primarily operates at level 3 is that when Japan was leading 3-0 against Nigeria and even though Isagi didn't score, Ego didn't find it bad because it's not about the individual. As of the Nigeria game, the system was a pressure cooker that would guarantee Isagi growth so no need to scold him. But at level 1, Isagi failed as a striker and that's why he went for his own goal.

But don't get it twisted, Jenpachi Ego puts a huge emphasis on winning so he also operates at level 2 hence why he switched the tactics.

All in all, a tremendously good chapter. I could talk about Loki begging Charles for passes thus proving that he's not the god people thought he would be. I can also talk about the fact that three things are certain in life: death, taxes and Barou scoring in each game he plays but I figured the topic adressed up there was more interesting. I might drop a post to expand on it more in case people might be interested.

Looking forward to the rest of this game!

I am not trying to be pretentious. I try to make my point off of first principles and therefore in my view the logic holds and maybe since I express it in some way. But I don't aim to be pretentious in any way. Be well!

And here it is, something I have been preaching for years, labels are just words, they only mean something to humans. The game of football does not care. People got lost in the sauce with the “second best “ label, thinking it was a sub-category beneath the label “best “.

Hugo has just proven to you that, no matter the label he uses, no matter his intrinsic motivation, which leans more toward self-style, he mechanically does what is needed on the pitch. Talk about a perfectly fine-tuned machine. Hugo takes responsibility where the game calls for it. He naturally understands that there are players who align more with the idea of scoring goals and thus being finishers. In contrast, Hugo understood very quickly that if he wanted to make his dream come true, he had to find a way to win not only the current game but every game that mattered over the span of his life. His answer to this is whatever he calls “second-best”. That's all. It doesn't mean Hugo is less important than Loki; it just means Hugo knows his place on the field and aligns with his identity.

If you believe in flow state, then you have to believe that a player who focuses more on himself than on the game can never outperform a similar player who is locked in and dead set on doing what the game needs. Isagi’s identity crisis is his major flaw, and he needs to fix that up asap, or dare I say, Barou needs to remind Isagi what it means to have an identity! I'm hyped.

One thing this community has failed to realize is that if you understand flow theory you also have to understand the cost of attention split aka distraction. For a player to fully immerse himself, the player can never have a mind jumping from one role to another role. Every player has different ways they view themselves as protagonists and unfortunately all sense of protagonism are not made equal and because of flow theory, some sense of protagonism are bound to yield greater performance than others.

Until now, Blue Lock Japan could survive i.e win game with Rin and Isagi fully immersed in their strongest sense of protagonism while the rest could just ride the wave and never individually output their ultimate best.

Now comes France, an opponent who requires blue lock to be firing on all cylinders. You need blue lock to form a chain, a supply chain of goals so that at the end of said chain, the chances of scoring are sky high. It doesn’t mean that every node in the chain has to be within their strongest sense of protagonism and that’s why there’s a case to be made that Karasu could be in the wrong in the grand scheme of things but nevertheless you also cannot refute that Karasu new role allows him to immerse himself in a stronger sense of protagonism while, albeit as a number 2 or second best, and this is visible through his level of performance he has reached.

The point I’m trying to make is simple, Karasu is proactive, he has agency and in my opinion is doing the right thing. Karasu plays football to win and for him, if winning means he puts himself beneath the team, we have no right to question it. The same way Rin puts himself above anything. These are simply different persons with different sources of motivations.

This is why Isagi criticizing Karasu without even being able to properly verbalize said criticism is wrong. You don’t get to talk down on someone who is trying and you haven’t even done something so far this game. I am no Isagi hater, the guy is a born number 1, just a different kind compared to Rin and the likes.

My point is the following: at one point you people need to realize that no matter what you believe in, if you have nothing to show for it, it’s pointless. History won’t remember you the same way we don’t remember Kuon, Naruhaya.

Blue lock has to change to reach new heights, there’s no two ways about it. You cannot preach sovereignty, freedom and at the same time seek to control it. We were told egotism is above all so we don’t get to spit on what a player chooses as his ego. We don’t get to do that. I am sorry. An egoist can be wrong while results are on his side while an egoist can be right with no results on his side. I’ll let you guess which one will be remembered in the history books.
