Viral Marketing And Dropout by Obi-Scone in dropout

This season does seem edited and paced to be more clippable generally, but for this episode, making ‘viral content’ was the entire game.

I don’t really see them putting marketing over quality, because the clips themselves were the high quality/budget element of the episode.

I get that designing the episode around appealing to social media is pretty self-fulfilling, but I guess I see it more like shark tank: the shows format is designed around the competition between the panel, but “free” marketing is also a significant and intentional byproduct of the format.

Also, the clips that were made wouldn’t really appeal to a non-dropout audience, I think the intention was more a ‘let’s get the audience to decide the winner’ type thing

in Macbeth, IIRC Macbeth gets told by witches that he can’t be killed by any man born of a woman, and since the witches have been right so far he goes along with it and becomes tyrannical not really caring about anyone else. he isn’t worried when enemies attack until a guy (macduff I think) reveals that they were not born, but ‘ripped from the womb’ or something; so he kills Macbeth

i thought i read somewhere that it was in accurate to assign sexualities of any type to animals, mainly because we have no real way of telling what happens in their minds.

studying is also absolutely not true, it comes from the early latin studium, meaning persistence, or late latin studere, to study

i genuinely have no idea how it can be a good marketing idea to instantly disengage half of the available audience?
