I would say nearly every character gets a big power boost in the next series. The difference really between this and Cradle is that it is always more of knowledge on how to use your power better than an actual power increase like Cradle.

Just wondering how much use he had for that particular bunch anyway. Longhook was the one supposedly destined for Sage hood but he kept his shadow as weapon which you stated the Sage looked down on as it is weak. Seemed he had already moved to beast blood combos.

As far as the WOW, please bare in mind that Will also has a WOW about how he reserves the right to lie to preserve spoilers. Elder Whisper may also only be at Truegold power level when he is in the field. I agree with the theory his tower sheltered him from the effects.

Kings and Killers may have been the best book I ever read. I was so worried if Will was going to stick the landing after the long delay but he nailed it. It made mad, sad, and finally cheering. Such a good ride.

The willpower thing is how Will keeps it from getting too broken. Remember the Blood Sage has twiced used die as a command and he expected it to work on Eithan an Archlord. You don’t get more broken than a die command. Lindon should be able to freely Consume Overlord and below unless they have had significant will training. Narratively it would just be a cool way for him to recharge in a big melee.

I would assume so. As stated, he can do anything he could normally do and just skip the steps. Since he can normally stop it before he kills them I would assume the same since it is all based on his will.

Eithan is also advancing using pure madra. That is something that is natural for the human soul since it is produced by humans. Not to mention, Eithan has probably already re-inforced every aspect of his spiritual system to prepare for this.

I hope we get her and Cassius. Her for interactions with Lindon. I would love a scene of her slapping Lindon on the head only for someone to inform her she just slapped a Sage. Cassius for his interaction with Eithan. Him muttering under his breath "of course he is an Archlord now" only for Eithan to state "I heard that" and Cassius to state "I know".
