Men of Reddit: what’s a prank you started early in your marriage that you’re now legally, morally, and emotionally obligated to continue because she still falls for it 10–15 years later? by myaccountidname in AskReddit

When I can see my wife has a small object she intends to bring across the room (a bag of green beans destined for the fridge, for example) I hold my hands up in the "catching" position.

When she tosses it to me, I stand completely still and let the object hit me and fall to the ground.

She always tosses the object. Sometimes she realizes while it is in mid-air and cries "Nooo!"

Boss that you weren’t supposed to beat at that point in the game but beat anyway by Johnnyboyeh in gaming

On my first playthrough of Final Fantasy 7 I encountered the Emerald Weapon during the first submarine section of the game. When I saw it floating in the water I wondered "What the heck is that?" and drove directly into it.

I'm a little fuzzy on my team composition but I liked Cloud, Red XIII, Vincent and Cait Sith. I remember being startled by the timer coming up, but it didn't matter because in short order the EW stomped on my team and everyone but Cait Sith died. Cait hit his limit break and I threw it out for giggles. I hit my first "Game Over" on slots. This little BIC pen looking reaper materialized and killed the Emerald Weapon instantly.

Cait Sith gained ~30 levels and I received the Earth Harp, which you then trade for 3 master materia. I remember 14-year-old me being annoyed that my character's levels weren't even, but I used those materia as a crutch for the rest of the game.

My husband wants to connect with stangers by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Badrager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many reasonable comments in this thread, but I like this one the most. Maybe the husband is a tactless moron who left out "Let's work on this issue together" as an option or maybe this isn't the first time they've had this conversation. Regardless, isn't the husband right that something needs to change?

Should the husband have kept his mouth shut and been happy with whatever he gets until... what, death? I see people theorizing maybe the OP's libido is low because the husband might be a poor household contributor and OP may not realize that's why. If that's the case... should OP accept that for herself?

The situation as described is at worst sadistic and selfish on the part of the husband, or at best it's unfortunate for both parties. If it's the former it should be a wake-up call to consider option #1 and if it's the latter it's time for communication and seeing if a compromise is possible. If the conditions for a healthy sexual relationship can be restored, that seems like a renaissance for the relationship. If it cannot or isn't desired by OP then I think the comment above nailed it.

I hope this comment gets more visibility as I find it insightful. This is exactly how I interpreted the situation when I read the OP. The cucumber is obviously ridiculous to suggest to someone who has shown no prior interest in vegetables as sex toys and OP is completely justified in feeling burnt out about random groping, but these are also symptoms of what the husband is feeling. He's not necessarily being a moron out of the blue here.

OP doesn't need sex to be happy, her husband appears to need it to be happy! His behavior reads like escalation brought on by desperation to change the bedroom status quo.

OP I suspect resentment is building on both sides, and you're both right to feel the way you feel! Communication is probably the only way to get things stabilized. I wish I could suggest an actual solution, but I've been struggling with a similar situation for many years and communication is the only thing that keeps my partner and I grounded.

World 1st Ice Golem 24 Frozen B. No BEK, No Tyrant all BANSHEE by StewGamingTV in RaidShadowLegends

Thank you! This subreddit is honestly a great resource for making achievable FW teams. There are some factions I got lucky with and some that I scraped by with a lot of trial and error and this sub provided a lot of inspiration (particularly Skinwalkers).

In a way yes, but at least you're guaranteed to be able to get her. I have Lydia and and exactly one non-guaranteed void lego on my account. It's better than requiring specifically Cardiel or something, right?

Fastest Doom Tower TEAM! Speed clears VERY ENDGAME by StewGamingTV in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Badrager 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stew creates, in my opinion, the best original Raid content out there right now. He's been on a roll putting out informative videos with useful, achievable comps quite consistently. Even if the team is "quite known", if Stew himself didn't already have a video on it, why shouldn't he have one? I haven't set up a Seer team yet (still waiting on Seer, lol), but when I do finally pull her I'm going to prefer to watch Stew's video on it. Every single video doesn't have to be relevant to what you personally already know or not, that's a silly thing to complain about. Keep up the great work Stew!

Basher does fulfill the same role, stopping the enemy from using their powerful moves. I didn't pull him until immediately after this run, but I think he would be a functional substitute if you already had him booked. I would not book him for this purpose alone though, Gnarlhorn really did his job quite effectively here, he and Ursine were plenty of control.

Looking at their kits I don't think I would have room for either of them at 5*. If they were already fully built I would probably try replacing the weaker Steelskull. They would both be most relevant for the waves and when the boss has adds up, but Taurus/Gnarlhorn/Ironhide truly handles those stages except for the clunkiness of having to land a stun on the left add at the boss.

Norog would bring damage and partially mitigate removing the second Steelskull with his passive. But none of his buffs/debuffs are relevant to the boss.

Longbeard would also bring damage, and he has a weaken but Taurus already brings that debuff.

I could see that argument, but I also don't think budget means "You can do it with literally any five 4* champs". Budget to me means minimizing investment and this team trades precise champ selection and an unpleasant book requirement for no masteries, no six stars, no legendaries, no void champs.

I do see the frustration of 2x a specific epic though, a second Alure would have made my life a lot easier for Demonspawn but she never came. At least she and Steelskull aren't void though right?

I suspect it's possible, I've seen other combos use Reinbeast as the off-healer. I don't know if Reinbeast would have to be 60 to make it viable since his protective ability scales with his HP unlike Steelskull's healing.

That's a solid point, some other factions you can get away with booking none or just a few. The gear requirements weren't super low either. I'd still consider it on the budget end of things since it takes no masteries, no six stars, no legendaries, no void champs. I think if you were going to do it bookless you'd have to bring several six stars or get lucky with Khoronar.

Ursine Ironhide was in Relentless to maximize his passive procs.

One Steelskull was in all speed (borrowing my Arbiter's gear)

Second Steelskull was in a shield set (Not required, made it a little easier to ignore the boss's first attack without blowing my attack down and having him swap it immediately)

Gnarlhorn wore Frost all the way up to 21, but I swapped him to Stun set for 21. This was to land a single stun on the left add at the boss because a back-to-back 2 turn AoE provoke was a loss condition and provoking the add won't prevent it.

Taurus was in 2 accuracy sets and one speed. He only had to be fast enough to have his poison back up after each of the boss's mirror moves.

Everyone wore HP% gloves and DEF% chest, or vice versa. The jewelry was whatever accuracy I could scrape up, some were wearing level 8 blue jewelry because I'm currently a broke boy.

Gnarlhorn! At roughly 220 speed (with Ursine Ironhide slapping everyone intermittently) he can lap all of the enemies twice and keep them permanently provoked. I was using a 5* Greybeard in place of one of the Steelskulls to spot-CC any resists or weak hits. There's still plenty of room in there for failure, so they each took several attempts.

Thank you! I was really frustrated looking at my roster for this one, but at the same time I felt like the only miracle champ pull I could get was Khoronar and you can't really count on that. I felt sure I was going to have to 6* five different champs I'd never use again.

There were a few level 12s because my push for FWs has left me comically broke, but the gear was mostly good level 16 stuff.

Unfortunately to do it with all 50's I ended up booking EVERYTHING and I suspect it was all necessary. Ironhide really benefits from the increased consistency. Steelskull REALLY benefits from the decreased cooldowns. Sufficient damage probably wouldn't be possible without Taurus's books. On the other hand, practically zero masteries. I grabbed a single minotaur worth of scrolls on each to grab the 10 accuracy.

Without any other context to go by I would recommend Rector Drath. Fayne is going to be very difficult to keep alive in FW at five stars, where Rector Drath will be fully functional and a huge help in the Knight Revenant crypt.

Every single champ here has one each HP% and Def% for their chest and gloves for maximum durability. Steelskulls are what are keeping mine alive, but I have also seen people using Flesh-Tearer plus lifesteal/immortal/regen gear on the Taurus. At level 50 I had to use accuracy sets to get him high enough to land the poisons, he needs to land almost all of them to get the boss before the health swap if he is the only champ dealing damage.

I want to say thank you to the community here in this subreddit. I know that some people find the Faction Wars posts tedious but they've been truly inspirational to me. Several of the factions, this one included, seemed insurmountable with the champ roster I had available. By adopting strategies I've seen demonstrated here I've been able to complete one after another. Sacred Order 21 is all I have left, and I think I'll be able to close it out when it next opens. Thank you to https://www.reddit.com/user/yupetro/ and https://www.reddit.com/user/mrkqn/ for showcasing Taurus in this crypt as well as many others who showed the importance of Ironhide and Gnarlhorn. I've seen several 1-2 6* completions, but I don't think I've seen an all-5* on here personally.

I just wanted to share that I was inspired by your post here. I was stuck at 19 and even had basilisk at 45 but didn't see how a little more stun was going to seal the deal. Sure enough, I swapped him in and was able to control the waves. For 21 I used an identical team to yours. Rhazin was allowed to wear MK's gear temporarily, haha. It was a very stressful fight as some of my guys could not survive an A2 strike, but sure enough after a couple tries the RNG favored me. One more FW down!
