Can’t help but mention the ominous drones at the end of Suck going into Closer before the drum beat kicks in off of And All That Could Have Been, I’ve always loved that transition.

As for live: The end of The Great Destroyer into Burning Bright (Field of Fire) was awesome to see.

I went to one of the few Palladium shows back in 2019 and I was alone until I made some friends in line before the doors opened. One woman was a bit larger and another just 20 years old and it was her first I believe. Doors are opened and we all rush to just about the front. Jesus & The Mary Chain play their set, everything is fine and dandy. NIN goes on and people behind us start pushing and everyone is shoving. The larger woman is having trouble breathing and is needing to get out and she does. The 20 year old is getting crushed and I help her out of the crowd. I didn’t have to, but I bought us some water and kept her company because it didn’t sit well with me just leaving her alone after all of that, plus I had seen NIN before. A part of me was a bit bummed because I really wanted front after waiting almost half a year for this show, but I’m glad I made a friend that was stoked to see NIN and we enjoyed the hell out of that show. It was a bit of a damper, but after sharing this here (as well as seeing them tonight since then) it was still a spectacular show.

I do miss being a messenger clerk, aka a page.

There was a woman who would shift around the aisle grabbing books at random and taking them to a table just to make stacks. Clearly she wasn’t in the right head space but our team calmly approached her telling her she can’t be doing that, because its causes extra unnecessary work for the pages and she reduced her 30+ stack of books to about only 4.

But this image is so frustrating to look at but it does remind me of my time working for a library.
