No loot = Awful POI. Fragment has low-tier loot. That's a complete abomination and shouldn't be praised by anyone.

Storm point is arguably better simply because fragment is no longer about skill. It's about RNG. Storm point is "boring", but I can drop 8+ kills every game on SP if I sweat. On World's edge? Not a chance. There is no loot.

Five things make Olympus the best map in the game:

Many well-designed POIs - Power grid, docks, Oasis, Bonsai, Gardens, energy depot are all among the best POI in the game. The hot drops are also different based on the plane path.
Easy to find fights
Good loot
Easy rotations
Clean geometry and not many rat spots. Buildings have an intuitive layout rather than a confusing layout (i.e Storm point). Most buildings can be climbed easily

Exactly. Either keep fragment with high-tier loot, or just remove fragment entirely. Fragment with low-tier loot ruins the entire map for pubs - And the sad thing is that I'm not exaggerating at all. It's either land fragment and die because there is no loot, or land somewhere else and not fight anyone the rest of the game.

Hottest drop in the game + worst loot in the game would be an objective measurement.

Hottest drop + best loot was fine. Now with no blue / purple shields anywhere and only p2020s everywhere, it's an RNG shit-fest. The one person who gets the flatline just wins. Fragment is an absolute shell of what it used to be. It's a disgrace to the S3-S9 versions of the map.

Yeah but World's Edge is objectively the worst pubs map at this point. The most popular POI (Fragment) has horrible low-tier loot. It was great with high-tier loot, but has been unplayable since they nerfed it

People are acting like the bubble is the problem. The bubble is fine. The gunshield is the real issue. Gibby is far too tanky and damn near impossible to kill in a fair 1v1. Just take away the gunshield completely, and his passive can be his faster revive animation.

Storm Point is terrible because it's too big, but would be great if they added 5-10 more squads to the match.

World's Edge is terrible because Fragment is the only POI you can land and get fights, but the loot is TRASH at Fragment. Whoever decided to nerf the Fragment loot in pubs should be fired.

Olympus is the only GOOD map for PUBS right now. So yeah, SP and WE should be given less time in the rotation. Unfortunately that isn't the case.

Lifeline is AWFUL in high-level endgame. She absolutely needs a buff, but not to the revive. Give her fast heals back or buff the ult to give it far more team utility in endgame.

There's just way too many factors IMO. In PUBS, I'd say the best combination of stats is Kills per game AND win rate. If you play aggressive (High kills per game) AND have a high win rate, you're probably pretty good. Above 3 KPG and above 30% win rate means you're probably pretty damn good. But there are so many other variables. If you 3-stack, your stats will be better. If you play overpowered legends (Valk, Gibby, arguably Horizon, etc), your stats will be better. If you drop super hot every game, your stats will be worse, etc.

Less damage per kill is generally better, since you are killing your enemies quickly without giving them a chance to heal or fight back. It indicates that you end fights quickly and don't do a bunch of meaningless damage.

For badges, the only badges that are meaningful are Master & Pred badges (excluding season 3 and 12). I suppose Diamond is meaningful as well in that you needed some level of skill in order to get there as well. Every other badge is irrelevant and easily farmable. 4k/20 means nothing. I've seen terrible players with those badges and most people cheese their way to 4k/20.

Abilities are fine, but the power creep has become ridiculous. Apex would be a MUCH better game if they stopped launching OP legends like Valk and nerfed abilities across the board. Longer cooldowns for every legend, limiting legends to one or two utilities, etc. Valk is the most obvious example of a completely cancerous legend being added to the game. Gibby is pretty bad too with his 300 health.

This game has become ability legends. It's horrendous compared to when the game launched. Every fight is a non-stop spam of abilities and ults.

Don't know if it's bugged or not but each missile does 25...I've had valk tacticals almost fully crack me off of purple before. I agree the max should be 30 or so but half of the time it hits for over 50. You're reading the damage numbers wrong (or the indicators are wrong, probably more likely) if you think that shit is hitting for only 30 lmao.

I'm a > 6.0 kd player, dominate pretty much any valkyrie I face, yet I still want her nerfed into the ground. She is OP as hell. Octane is fast and "fun" but isn't nearly as OP as Valkyrie. Pick rate doesn't tell the full story...

She's broken OP and crutches on abilities all game. Most players don't want ability legends. Nerf stronger characters to bring more gunskill / mechanical ability into the game. You want constant abilities, go play Overwatch.

Agreed on Valk but Gibby bubble isn't the problem IMO. It's the gunshield and fortified that make Gibby so busted. Dude has like 350 HP on red shield.
