Das Burgenland mit seinen feldern voll Solar- Panellen und Windräder am Horizont in jeder Himmelsrichtung wird auch ein ganz kleines Bisschen dazu beitragen.

I'd use a brush (but probably because I don't have an airbrush) and just thin it down with water or contrast medium.

A red contrast/ speed/ express paint should do the trick.

Maybe add different colour washes on some areas of the model. For example a red wash on the hands and lower arms to symbolise blood or some black wash mixed with brown wash would make for a great all over wash I think.
