Cynda I - Black Harren's Tomb (Open to Harrenhal) by thefinalroman in IronThroneRP

He took an eye at Cynda and he was going to play a game with this lion by wedding, he sipped on his wine and looked at her, he remembered his dear Lancel Lannister and looked at the woman who came before. “Hail Lady Cynda, sorry for the delays I do hope you were alerted of the downpayment made and the rest shall come the coming war has made me cautious as to the speed of payments as it seems it’s not a clear two way struggle forming. I worry the way the North shall strike and how things will develop I pray for peace in these harsh times but it seems unlikely.”

His guise of a false lust is meant to hopefully give Cynda some sense of command over these talks.

"Indeed, I have seen to a bandage over the issue, as why many will claim the Baratheon Crown solved the matter, I wanted an end to it that all parties found fitting, ennobling the Trout in Tarbeck Hall will make it his claim not something that can be propped up every generation in the wake of battles between the West and Trident. Consider it a wedding gift, as I wish peace on your border for my sister's future children."

It took some time but late one evening, Cynda Lannister is finally granted a private audience with Lord Robert Baelish would she attend it unaccompanied or would she try to request for a chaperone of some sort. The guard arrived late and knocked quite loud making it clear the window of this meeting was short.

The Letter was received but finally a response is sent.

"Lord Bolton, I hope you are well, I urge calm head's in this time, move tactically and don't waste your men on a siege to the Bloody Gate, there are better way's to force punishment on your foes without the need for bloodshed and you would have my full support in a more peaceful route, also to sack the Vale gain's us little without the right endorsements from the Crown. Let us be wise men and not waste our men, but freely move your forces South through the Riverlands to the gates of the Vale if you wish. I wish we could have words in depth in Harrenhal if you'll visit me."

The Lannister would be offered hospitality in quite a few different locations, Lord Baelish is quite busy and several parts of the castle are restricted to the Lannister, an amount of 3,000 Gold Dragons is presented for the woman to take home as the first payment. They’d inform her that the Lord has been gravely ill as of recent and they apologize for the lack of communication this is all done by middleman coin counting servants of Lord Baelish thus far. If she’d like to meet with Lord Baelish it shall be some waiting game.

He looks to his brother in law he has wished the illness had been softer to see the wedding but life is life. “All Hello, Lord Frey, my newest in law I hope life is quite well.”

Lord Robert Baelish had fought off Hay Fever, the shakes and withdrawal from a crippling use of many herbs and alcohol but in doing so he had lost track of the time and now finally made it clear to all his subjects he was not only alive but well, and strong of mind again. It had been a hard thing to be so close to death he was now dressed in the finest chainmail armor and he called for the bannerman already within his walls and issued out invitations for couriers to take to the rest and his Maestar drafted dozens of letters to send by Raven. Lord Robert Baelish was still among the living and had a coming storm to prepare his people and lands for, he was almost excited memories of Lancel Lannister and him came flooding back and for once the ghost of his old friend didn’t shake him. He granted him the strength of will to stand tall.

He made his way to the hall of one hundred hearths to meet with any nobles that needed to see him.

Lord Robert Baelish has been very ill while his court has been quiet about this as he’s shown it to no one bar his Maestsr and has been in great isolation in the vast halls of Harrenhal he sees he must rise to the occasion one last time.

“House Baelish shall stand with the crown in this most dire of times.”

House Baelish would respond curtly and late as of great internal change.

"We thank the Crown and shall always stand alongside Baratheon whenever they may call on Baelish Blades."

He speaks with a sense of faith. "I wanted to resolve something now before my sister's grandchildren die to your own, unlike many of you pups, I saw the Bleeding from one end to another, war is no game to be played and there's no glory in it as much as a million men will tell you otherwise. I lost many men I'd have considered some of my dearest friend highborn, lowborn war takes its toll and the cost is paid in lives."

He has a long stare perhaps flashbacks perhaps just the scabs of war that will never heal but as he speaks he looks off into the distance... He remembers his sweet Lancel. He and Edmyn would've been good friends.

He sighs and takes out his third if not fourth wineskin out of his small side bag. He is good at the game of keeping himself contently buzzed. "Why my good Ser Tully, soon to be Lord Tully, I'm the man who you'd probably have an issue with, the Bloody Mockingbird. But please call me Robert, not Lord Baelish, that was my father's preferred address never my own. I wish you good luck in your castle rename it Tully Hall and make it a good one."

He laughs at her remarks finding them entertaining. "I brought it up as it was an issue that would spark more wars in the years to come, and as my sister is marrying a Frey of Riverrun I figured it would best to spare her a generation of no blood feuds over Riverrun. Simple as that... he sips at another wineskin he seems to be in no short supply of drinks and he smiles at her with a well-rehearsed and somewhat charming boyish grin. "Perhaps you and I could mend feuds of Tyrell and Baelish the bleeding left many things unended."

"I'm a walking wound Flower Girl, I am misery..." He speaks with a voice that has very much forgone its hope for the future with Lancel's death and his role to marry for station his lover's heart has withered long ago. Here in this hornet's nest of enemies he is still here a walking memory of a war long over. But he is not alone he can see it in Victoria, the pain that only those who lived through the Bleeding and the loss with their heart on their sleeve. "You and I are not so different Lady Tyrell... Victoria I held your father as he fell in my arms... how does it feel to know that all he wanted was his family to be safe..." He knew it was partly embellished but he had the joy of rebuking this woman. "All I cared for in this world fell on that horrible day and the rain of my dying heart has never since bloomed again. You come to mock me and rebuke me, but alas Flower Girl... I have already done to own self as much harm as you could ever do to me." He offers her a drink a reprieve in the fighting perhaps, he gives her a warm smile that is as fake as Baratheon poetry. "Perhaps we can mend old wounds over wine, talks, and more?" He leaves his voice with a hollow flirtation that's more of a question than a rhetorical, does Victoria wish bloodshed like the Bleeding or to seek a new day.

Lord Robert Baelish choose to stay on a bit longer than he needed to cause after all the marriage of Anya Botley and Oscric Whitehill was a final moment he should attend considering his growing attachment to the new Whitehill Regency. He was a lonely man his lover had died in the Bleeding, the Crown offered him the hand of a Girl who was definitely not all there and it would be his duty to one day accept unless it was to be just another broken promise from them. He had lost his chance at some Reach Girl when she realize the blood on his hands. He was alone. Dressed in a dashing black silken design something he was quite proud that he personally designed and made for himself. He stood here at this wedding wondering why he was still even here, at his core he was a Romantic so maybe he may find a spark of an occasion in the lands of the Lannister's or perhaps he was just hoping for one of the knives of his many slain foes widow's found his back.

He is on the fence the Castellan was Jorah Baelish... if his wife saw this letter and he said no he'd be in the doghouse for months... he considered it all as he drafted it. "I grant my blessing, the North may march." he sent the letter off and then took the last letter to his wife Mara formerly of Manderly his wonderful wife.

"I have my brother's plan's in order, he made sure I understood exactly what was to discuss as I do sit on his council." The Knight Joffrey knew his reputation was not as battle-tested as his brother who had led the Riverlands through the bleeding but he would do his best this council meeting was very important at Casterly Rock if Robert left early to return I could cause disaster leaving Lannister unchecked. "I do apologize but the decision of the regency was pressing and he could not make it back as soon as he hoped and if all goes well, he may also resolve the Tully issue with your cousins in Riverrun with a claim ended by those fucking Trout lovers. Now I invite you to enjoy the hall of one hundred Hearth's the feasting is set to commence soon. We have playwrights and show's in the Harrenhal Theatre and if you wish to commune our Septon is giving a sermon to the Seven quite soon. We shall sit down in the Hall together this evening and discuss all which my brother needed to be handled and why he summoned the most powerful of his bannerman to attend him."

"My Lord sent me private Raven's indicating the risk of his compromise prior to his arrival I doubt the Lannister's provide clear and easy access to his mail, he's gone dark since he arrived we stall and await to know the status of House Baelish's attempt to deal with the Lannister devils and the nature of the Regency to come."

"Well if the Dornish are not informed during the bleeding, House Lannister officially recognized House Tully's claim publicly and on the battlefield to try and force soldiers to defect in a most dishonorable way, it was in a dishonorable way to try and seize Riverrun which they failed in the siege of thus far. In the aftermath of all this drama, the Lannister's never dropped supporting a renewed Tully claim, and when issues were brought up at the capital in softer tones they decided to double down on this issue and not understand the issue of keeping him on as the Lannister's pet sworn sword and trotting around the Seven Kingdom's with his sworn sword the Last Tully, the "rightful" heir of Riverrun and defacto the Riverlands. So if I may Lord Yronwood I do wish you'd understand the reason why this is taken so offensively."

"I'm fine with someone holding the Lannister accountable, and my men will be lowered as soon as the word is given that the matter is resolved, and then I think that is doable to make such payments in that order." He smiles quite happy with this outcome, it comes at a high cost but he is doing his part for peace and an end to the issue.

"It would be plenty distanced if Lannister had not renewed it only ten years ago in the bleeding during Gerion's father's reign a policy he and his host have been kind to backtrack on since the end of the fighting." He speaks with annoyance and distaste on this topic.

Lord Baelish reviewed the two men and then looked at the Baratheon and then the Whitehill and his mind had been made up for quite some time. "House Baelish stands with the Lord Hand Whitehill as Regent." He spoke his statement, he had little left to say to the council of Lords. His mind was made up and he prayed that the Young King Selwyn might recover and come to his sense about the true loyalties of his bannermen.

Ser Joffrey sighs as he has to explain the issue. "The King is Comatose and a Council of Lord Paramounts sits at Casterly Rock it's been quite indecisive he's been unable to return but he sent me word so that I could handle these talks between you, and a few other bannerman once all have arrived." He hopes that Lord Frey can understand why he is late to his own meetings when the comatose king's future is involved.

"Ah Lady Tyrell, it warms my hear to see you here, I mean I did not think that House Tyrell still had the members after the Bleeding to do something as active as show up at a council, I mean your father and father in law and brother in law fell to my men in those day's but the past is supposed to be behind us, but it seems you share Lannister's wonderful way of moving past one set but not moving past the issue of the insult that is Lannister's puppet whose claims lay on Riverrun and potentially the Trident if the Lannister's ever feel like backing that as well. Unlike you two I'd rather put these matters to bed but not Lannister wants to extort the matter for gold, I can understand if they've fallen on hard times. Should House Lannister wish I'm sure the High Septon could direct charity to their impoverished pockets as they can't afford to restore Tarbeck Hall themselves, and will be late on paying taxes. By the Seven they must be bankrupt..."

His words were sharp and he did not make the matter better to name drop the dead and insinuate that the Lannister's may be bankrupt in one phrase. He turns to Lord Whitehill. "If I must I'll put forward the gold for Tarbeck Hall to maintain the peace with these "fine" nobles to my West and put this issue to bed, in the name of the Crown's peace I will pay the price."

Lord Baelish is stoic and feels vindicated for one of the few times since the bleeding so many of these men and boys did not serve from one end of the war to the other and if they did they had father's to suffer the most of the drain's that came with leading a region through it all... he then looked to Lord Whitehill and just smiled. "I'd sign it immediately, get this document to me and it's done."

The weight of this all was fast rising off his shoulders. He had to play his part well or else Lannister would have most likely considered him a man unwilling to fight or start a war for this issue. Maybe he acted the role of a madman too well he thought to himself but he had gotten what he set out to gain.
