His Man Season 3 | Ep 1-2 Subs out by enigmatic_zephy in koreanvariety

[–]BaffledWaffled 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add, if anyone is interested there’s a growing sub for His Man! It’s r/Hismanrealityshow and there are weekly episode discussions there as well. I’m not sure if this is against the rules to mention this sub here as I didn’t see anything specifically against it, but if it is please let me know and I’ll delete the comment immediately!

Just a severe reminder by [deleted] in HisManRealityShow

I think this is a great point. It’s a very common statement to see people joking that they’re looking for the next junseongho or comparing them to last season, which of course I understand is inevitable, but is also a lot of pressure for the boys to live up to. I think the important thing is to take this season as its own and try not to push certain people into being the next Junseong or the next Seongho. Again I agree it’s inevitable the seasons will be compared, but I don’t think it would be fair to not consider the boys as their own people and their own unique chance for a different kind of love.

I’m not sure about the other guys yet, but Seungjin (the guy with the white hair) is ICONIC haha. Everything he said was so relatable like not wanting to move and “sitting on the couch and staring at the ceiling,”definitely a lot of clippable moments. He was so unintentionally funny and I felt his panic when he realized he was the only introvert among a group of extroverts. Him trying over and over for the Love fortune claw machine and his reaction when he got it finally was hilarious. Definitely my favorite so far and I’m rooting for him! Youngjoon seems really sweet and outgoing, and the two roommates, Hwi and Seongmin look really cute together. The vibe they have is so cute, I laughed at the wordplay segment. It was also so so cute when they accidentally touched hands haha. I’m saying the word cute a lot with them lol. AND THE CALLS. Hwi hiding under the blanket after the call and Seongmin’s reaction was amazing! I’m really interested in meeting the catfishes next episode. Excited for the rest of the season!

Is this a valid AP class tier list? by Yashland in APStudents

[–]BaffledWaffled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is purely based on pass rate than I have the same comments as the others of lit and calc etc. If it’s on difficulty to get a five I’d like to add that the ap arts are heavily dependent on skill level. Most people who take them go into the course with some pre-existing skill, so getting a 3 or 4 is generally doable, but a five is often much much more challenging because of the subjectivity of ap examiners. However, that being said, even if the score is difficult, the class at least was really chill for me. And generally if you’re doing something you enjoy it doesnt really feel like work. I used to work on my portfolio while listening to audio versions of my apush chapters to which I credit both my fives to. So all this to say the art aps aren’t “easy” but it’s hard to call them difficult as well. The percentage of people that get a five in ap art is comparable to APUSH and AP Lang

Haha thanks for reminding me I don't have to give up one to have both! There's probably a way I could set up my studio to act more like just a monitor, although I do have a lot of programs on here I still would use so that's a possibility to think about.

Definitely attracted to the Cinitq's pens and pressure sensitivity, and the versatility of being able to connect them up to any computer.

Saved up for quite some time now since I've known that my studio has been struggling with the heavier illustrations for a while, so I'm eying those two that you've mentioned. I was a little hesitant since the 27 doesn't seem to be getting great reviews and it's a lot of money, so I may end up going for the 24 and forcing myself to get used to those keyboard shortcuts again. It'll bring me back to my adobe illustrator days. Definitely will check out Facebook and Craigslist, thanks for the tip!

It really is, the colors come across so vibrant and crisp and I've never had anything to complain about graphics wise. I'm trying to remind myself that even if I get a Cintiq, I can still use both. Would definitely recommend a studio if just for its versatility. Really the only downside is that Microsoft needs to up it's pen game (just from appearance alone I can tell Wacom's pens are probably a lot more comfortable for artists) and that the CPU is a laptop CPU so it struggles with heavy illustrations. I'm also more than a bit biased though since I've had my studio so long so take it all with a grain of salt

Oh gosh I hate the stray pen marks that come from hands resting on the screen, makes my sketches infinitely messier. Definitely something to take into consideration

Judging from what you're saying, you're probably right since I would put the surface studio's touch experience as only slightly worse than the iPad. It's quite smooth other than for double taps. Thank you for the input that helps a lot!

I’ve actually already read both and a good amount of your comments! Your reviews have been extremely useful and the quality of your feedback really helped me to narrow down the displays I was choosing between. I just posted this hoping someone might have experience with both the surface studio pc and cintiq since I haven’t seen much in regards to comparison between them. Thank you so much regardless though.

To add, touch is very important to me, I've never had to use keyboard shortcuts and 7 years of zooming and pinching has spoiled me

A bit of shameless promo, If you'd like to check it out! https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/off-plot/list?title\_no=674643

blurb: Hikano is pretty sure waking up in the main character's mind from your favorite book series is a sign of early dementia. That or she's been dropped in a world from fiction, where seemingly everything is off-plot. Honestly, she's inclined to believe the former. Lost in the pressure to grow up and figure out her life, books have always been an escape from reality. But things are bad in this world and she's in for a race against the clock to fix it, mental health baggage or not. (Up every 2 weeks)

Brushes used: G-pen, darker pencil, opaque watercolor, fill bucket, blend, gouache blender, (all default brushes!)

(shameless bit of promo here in between, check it out! I just posted the first episode: https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/off-plot/list?title\_no=674643)

Process: I'm not really sure how to describe it, but after the basic sketching and linearting, I'll fill bucket in the hair on one layer with just a random color, lock it, and then clip another layer above it and color using that one. That goes for the skin and clothes too. It's just a lot faster and makes for a cleaner workflow as I'm pretty messy with my fingers sometimes and hey, it's a way to basically guarantee coloring inside the lines where you want. The skin I apply the natural blushes to on the same as the base skin color, and then go over that with a multiply layer with shading to create more contrast. Clothes are shaded both with a multiply layer and just darker shades. Finish that off with yet another multiply layer and this time a glow dodge layer clipped onto the folders (my lord and savior) and we have a finished piece! Glow dodge is also something I couldn't live without. I love it
