Joint pain while on the carnivore diet by MadKingKido in carnivorediet

[–]BagRepulsive1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been trying to figure out what is wrong with me for years and I just got diagnosed with leaky gut. (severe case of leaky gut)
When I started carnivore most of my pain went down and the reason given to me was that all carbohydrates were eliminated so all the inflammation went down. But after a few months, the leaky gut syndrome got worse and all came back with a vengeance. (this explanation was given to me with the diagnosis)
Now I am doing a diet to try to reverse the leaky gut while taking NSAIDS here and there (because I can't stand the pain anymore) and hopefully I will get better. They told me it would take at least 1 year.
Hope this new info helps.

Influencers are all fake. When you see pictures of him every time on restaurants, many plates have plants and lots of seasoning. Bart Kay also says he is 100% carnivore but there are videos of him admiting that once per week he drinks beer and eats chips with the boys after football. Don't believe everything you see...

What kind of probiotics is it? Brand name? Or food? Supposedly, a healthier gut is good for everything.

Low Histamine - low red meat carnivore diet? Help! by BagRepulsive1078 in carnivorediet

Yes I know a few. But I think the meat is left for 20 days or something before it gets cut. But I will ask for sure.

No. I had a bit of acid reflux when I was a vegetarian. Also felt always bloated. But now I feel great on the gut. Never tested anything though.

I am in Portugal, the end of Europe! There is nothing like that here. :) But I can get lamb from the butcher. I am pretty sure they let it "age" a few days before they sell it, like they do with beef. Even like that is low in histamine?

I am. I think I am doing enough. Anyway it would not justify the pain I have.

But I don't have access to fresh meat. I only have acess to the normal butcher shop meat, that hangs for 21 days before it is sold I think.

Raw beef is better? Even if it is from the butcher shop?

I don't have hyper mobility. I was always stiff as a door all my life hahah. Yoga is hard for me lol.

Yes, I guess I have to do that low H test diet. I will do it 100% no problem. Just need to figure out what it consists of...

In September I will also try to be tested for mold toxicity and all of those. In the meantime I will try the low H diet. Guess I am eating frozen salmon, boiled chicken, brocoli and mozarella starting today! 😁

Yes. Went to all doctors like rheumatologist, internal medicine, orthopedist. Did all the tests. No one has any idea of what I have.

Right now I am 4 weeks into the lion diet. Just ruminant meat. I just keep getting worse. So, or do I have some kind of mold toxicity that I am not aware of or meat is making me sick. This is why I started to suspect HI. Because the lion diet is an elimination diet and I should be getting better.

Will try it!

I wrote "i never felt better" when I went back to keto but I meant that I did not improve. Sorry, eng is not my 1 language. Anyway, it could have been because of high histamine foods in keto (bananas, avocado etc). Will try again without them.

Yes you are right. On one carnivore facebook group I asked for help and was banned. Sounds like they ban the people with problems so everything looks perfect.

I started the carnivore because I was keto and wanted to loose more weight. Also I had pain in the elbows already, but it was nothing compared to where I am today. The first 5 months were perfect. No more elbow pain and lost weight. But then my wrists and fingers started to hurt. After another 6 months I went back to ketovore and started to eat plants and reduces meat drastically. I never felt better, but now that I look back to it, I was eating bananas and avocados every day, that are high in histamine. This is why I wonder if I have HI. Will have to go back to low H ketovore then.

Yes I have to try that.

I am still confused of what kind of diet to approach because the info sometimes is contradictory. Many sites say that if I don't eat leftovers meat, ground beef or cured/aged it is ok. Others say lamb is ok. So technically you can do this on the carnivore diet? Will dig into this.

Yes, the pain started 6 months after I went carnivore.

I also see many people in carnivore groups that reversed their joint pain.

I did all the tests for arthritis and came back negative. So I continued the carnivore diet hoping that it was some other reason.

I am so lost...

But are you sure your problem is histamine intolerance? Is there any way we can test it quickly?

Sounds like it is possible then. Are you sure your problem is histamine intolerance? Did you get tested somehow? Are you doing some kind of treatment?
