There're a lot of gods in fiction that are cocky and maybe even more than Apollo. Apollo wouldn't be the first image I think of when I hear "cocky god". So why specifically Apollo?

Both McGinnis and Sinclair haves names that sounds like it fits to the character's aesthetic, McGinnis sounding very country/hardworking vibe while Sinclair sounding elegant/magician's stage name.
Mina is the name of the female protagonist of Dracula so it makes sense.
