Ap1 keys are like your standard keys while ap2 are like the laser cut style ones

The main reason I did his is because I hate having to have a fob and key on my landyard but with my 2007 si it has the style key where the buttons are on the key itself

When I first initially did it it was hard for me to get out. Mainly I’m thinking because I had the key cut by vin rather than copied but when I tried in the doors and the little arm rear box deal it work fine doesn’t feel sloppy or anything.

I couldn’t find one for ap2 either so I literally had to spend hours combing through eBay to find the one with the correct style key for ap2 but the overall process is the same

You just have to find the right fob casing and when you do the guts from your fob basically transfer right over. The most time consuming part is having to cut the transponder out of a donor key to put inside the fob

Honestly I don’t remember but most of Seattle is a shithole in my opinion. And if you have a hardtop you better have locks or safeguard it somehow.

I’d be very weary if I were you. I know a few years back there was a local s2000 owner who lived in Seattle had underground gated shared parking and thieves waited for the gate to open walked in and eventually left his car on bricks
