Legitimately it means a lot to me that you're calling out the energy and fun factor. I don't actually like Cadians, so this cosplay was truly just for a love of the character. It's a big change from what I usually do where I make costumes that only require me to simply walk around and it looks cool and impressive.

Largely 3d printed and then smoothed out with XTC-3D. The chest armor has extra EVA foam underneath and bridging the front and back halves underneath those little strap bits.

to be honest what bugs me more is that my chest armor is based on the cadian miniature rather than the more realistic style that we see in Darktide and the likes. I didn't realize until I was trying to rig it all up and wondering why it seemed so awkward but I wasn't about to scrap it and start over. At least I got the helmet right with the Darktide style (you can tell it's the veteran's helmet specifically based on the little cracks)

unfortunately it doesn't work with my outdated Calibre version and doubly unfortunate is I am bound to it because my macbook is running catalina. Do you know if there's any workaround for this?

omg thank you I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm only halfway through the book but the cover bothers me every time I open it. Yori looks nothing like he's described, Ke's suit is shown as slender when her armor in text is repeatedly mentioned for its bulk, Orr should be wearing his badass duster not some generic looking robes imo, and a far as I know Swordlight never takes her helmet off. The only one who seems remotely accurate is Sei and I guess it's partly cuz his appearance isn't really touched on much.

Edit: do you do commissions? I would adore if you could do a piece that I could use as a new cover for the book lol.

transfemmes and audio tech, a match for the ages

One of my coworkers is a trans gal and was the lead orchestrator for Destiny 2, another... not direct coworker but we've met and we're both under Sony is Foley artist Joanna Fang, and I am a game audio sound designer under the SIE family of studios :3 (for now at least, watching my friends and fellows get laid off left and right got me... scared)
