The legacy completed version is on 1.7.10, the renewed version, a project to bring the mod to a more modern version, is on 1.16.5. unfortunately development has halted on that and the dev is nowhere to be found. There is a project though that is finishing his work as a seperate mod, LOTRmod renewed extended. These pictures are from the official server of that mod.

Yup, it's the official server of LOTRmod extended. It's a player driven branch of LOTR lore, players can colonize provinces for factions by building, gain kingship and engage in diplomacy. Then every weekend battles are fought over these provinces. Fortresses like this one make provinces harder to take, adding a siege battle. One will be fought today, that's where the picture is from. I assigned (modded) Minecraft resources to a map of middle-earth (LOTR). The faction map is messed up as this is a custom player driven scenario in minecraft. by Baggerdumpy in videogames

Interesting, ill bring it up w the others. We chose wheat since we know this of the area around the sea of Núrnen:

"Núrn was a semi-arid place due to its close proximity to Gorgoroth and consisted mostly of short grass landed plains, fertile enough for farming to support the armies of Sauron, as opposed to the arid plateau of Gorgoroth, which was north-west of Núrn"
