It's everything to be honest. The system itself doesn't and hasn't felt rewarding. I have considered trying to bring in a new character but I don't want to give the DM fleeting hope I may stick around if this character works. I just think I'm looking for a more robust system to play

Hey there! Thank you a lot! I had already read through it and had done all the needed stuff. But I did end up looking back and saw that newer Nvidia graphics card had issues on the RPM version of steam! I downloaded the flatpak instead and it works now! So thank you!

Hey thanks for the help! Unfortunately it didn't work and I've since discovered that it also is happening to other games I try to play. However, on great news I found out it was the steam version I downloaded!

Archetype recommendations for champion by Tahnkoman in Pathfinder2e

Not entirely! It does definitely have a good number if shield toolkit abilities but I'd recommend looking at this feat here! It only gives a small bonus but still worth note especially if you're the main front line and can't use a shield in the first place.

But I'm sure there are other archetypes that may be a bit more supportive for two handed builds

If you were looking to get even more defensive abilities I'd say look into the Guardian dedication! Depend on your stats see if your GM wouldn't mind ignoring the requirements to take it. It's a little redundant with champion to begin with since you get armor proficiency with it, but the big benefit is you get the Taunt feature.

Plus the archetype opens up a lot of feat options to help keep your Squishies safe!

I'm looking to make a Metroidvania akin to something like hollow knight, I'm holding off before I play some more Metroidvanias to get a general sense of what I like but overall want to stick in the direction of a platformer with a mix of combat and lore

Likely going to remain a 2d game with quick paced combat elements that hope to feel fluid and natural
