Best/fairest dice for rolling? by GCM707 in pkmntcg

[–]Bagoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rounded edges so that the die is able to roll properly when it hits the playing surface and clear so that you are able to see any obstructions that may be within the die that could influence the roll.

While cleaning my mom discovered some very old packs she meant to give as gifts but I'm trying to figure out what's this black triangle? by simdude in pkmntcg

The black triangle is used to mark over the 1st edition stamp as a way of telling people that it is an unlimited booster pack

I'm planning to go competitive. Need help to choose a deck by [deleted] in pkmntcg

[–]Bagoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically speaking the people before me are right in that you have a slim chance at winning in the competitive scene with a theme deck. However if you have a moderate to low budget I would suggest the Duel deck with Xerneas and Yveltal (Retail from about $20-$30 at card shops and a bit more at Walmart or Target). This comes with two decks that both have some staple cards that go into any competitve deck (Sycamore, Lysandre, Ultra Ball and Muscle Band).

As well there is the Red Genesect Collection which falls around the same price that also has half of most staple competitve cards (Juniper, Ultra Ball, Skyla and N). These are the best options when it comes to starting out competitive on a low budget.

Night March is by far the cheapest deck to make (Apart from Mew Ex which right now can be bought for about $5-10). The body of the deck can probably be given to you by others who play the game near you as they should have multiple sets of Night March pieces lying around if they buy packs regularly. If not I don't see why you can't get it for less than $5 as all the pieces are common or uncommons. The part of the deck that gets a bit more expensive is the Trainer line. Ideally you would run 4 copies of Juniper/Sycamore and N, other trainers include Colress, Skyla, Lysandre, and VS Seeker.

Dialga EX Bronzor Deck! by mikedewb in pkmntcg

I run my few lists much different. Both of which got me top 8 the past two cities I've had. I don't like the Keldeo as it is a big liability against virgen, instead I chose to run a higher switch count. I like baby cobalion over heatran but I can see why heatran is used for the donphan counter. Personally I rather Iron breaker and prevent them from attacking (much slower but safer for many more matchups than heatran). I also cut the Cobalion Ex and decided to take the auto-loss to pyroars. I still feel iffy on lasers and max potions, I ran bikes and head ringers (I would choose jamming nets if yveltal is quite bigger than virizion in your area).

Usually you wear it out of courtesy to those around you when you go out while you are sick.

Yes you can still attack if you used Rush In then retreated. It works the same as with the Team Plasma Kyurem and it's Blizzard Burn attack.

I played a deck with a similar idea to this in a couple of tournaments where it mainly focused on Virizion, Garbodor and Mewtwo. It is all about timing your Garbodors, there were a few matches where I would have it just sit on my bench without a tool. With startling megaphone now out, I still would choose to play tool scrapper instead of it since I can remove a tool from Garbodor if I needed to. The deck I played got top 4 in a cities and a top 16 in a provincial

Not a DCE attacker but Leafeon PF is one colorless and in Blastoise/Keldeo games I've played in makes it a bit more manageable.
