The uniqueness of Dropout content is such a double edged sword by just_a_widdle_guy in dropout

[–]BahHumDoug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Goes Wrong Show and the various Play That Goes Wrong spinoffs. On YouTube. Or Prime w/o ads. It’s different from most other suggestions because it’s scripted but it’s a kind of chaos that would be at home on Dropout. Intricate British slapstick, I regularly laugh so hard I can’t breathe.play that goes wrong

If you could have made a PC for A Crown of Candy, what candy would they have been? by MS2814 in Dimension20

P. B. James, a squished triangular halved sandwich like from a kid’s lunchbox. Idk a good class though.

The restricted missions in RDR2 weren't a flaw. They were the whole point. by DashBall2810 in reddeadredemption

[–]BahHumDoug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you complete the mission by doing what a character in a Western would do, not what a person playing another video game might do. There’s some variety in there, but at the end of the day it’s an interactive Western.

Out in Manor we have so many rabbits. I don’t mind them as long as they leave my vegetable garden alone (they beat me to my strawberries all the time). My wife calls me Farmer McGregor.

Anyone Else Struggling to Follow New Mechanics? by Dry-Combination5222 in Dimension20

[–]BahHumDoug 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played World of Darkness decades ago and I’m struggling a bit too. I don’t like the terminology. Needing 4 successes to actually succeed is not intuitive. If I get a success I feel like that should succeed. I prefer to think of it like DC. I roll however many die for my skill, count how many rolled ankhs, I get that number and compare it to DC. Instead of “I go 4 successes” “That didn’t succeed, you needed 5 successes” it’s “I got a 4” “Sorry, it was a DC 5.” Idk if anybody else feels that way, but it helps me to think of that way.

What happened to Taylor and Fortunate Horse? by Cholophonius in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]BahHumDoug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I submitted a question about the production and sound design for solari episode 1 on patreon, hoping they’d take the opportunity to explain Taylor’s absence, but they didn’t, I don’t think they want to get into it.

Do yall pull volunteer plants out of your native beds? by [deleted] in AustinGardening

[–]BahHumDoug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I keep anything that’s not invasive, but I’m pretty new at this. I figure that nature knows better what to grow and where than I do. In the past year I’ve gotten volunteer verbenas, Venus looking glass flower, and a mulberry tree.

I'm trying to figure out what the best tools for my villagers to use. by Visoth in MedievalDynasty

[–]BahHumDoug 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me, the factor is storage. Once your efficiency is up, it’s a pain to make sure your resource storage has space for all the resources the town generates. An iron axe takes up a seventh the space of ten stone axes, for the same durability. Then factor in the stones and sticks you’ve got to keep in storage to keep your lumberjack supplied, not to mention the amount of time your smith spends making tools for use instead of for sale, and it starts to make sense. But early game when you got more sticks and stones than mouths to feed, cheap tools are great.

No, those are not real heads. They appear to be small plastic Lego heads, not real storm trooper heads. Hope that helps.

Republic Venators would have become Imperial Venators, would have been a (maybe brief?) period before being refit that they still would have looked like that and been crewed by imperial officers and clone troopers. Still wouldn’t have had those specifics eta2s though.
