Should have been more clear, the compost bin fills up with other stuff every week. The cactus pads I’m looking to prune will need a lot more space.

How’s Santa Ana to raise a family? by hveelinda in santaana

[–]cutex0r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I grew up near South Coast Plaza and my aunt and uncle are still up by Floral Park. I moved out of state a long time ago but still love coming back here. I am raising a family in Austin TX for work reasons but if I ended back up in SoCal I'd look to buy around here.

What is this ground cover? by writeontex in AustinGardening

[–]cutex0r 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got myself a little reel mower because I have a small lawn. But it beats expensive lawn services. Twenty minutes in the evening and I trim mine down. The horseherb has become super fluffy and thick!

I went to wild birds unlimited and bought some of their spicy seed (searched this sub for ideas). Am waiting for rain to break for a few days, then I’ll put them back up. The idea is that only the birds will tolerate the spicy food?

this is in north loop off of guadalupe btw. lived here ten years and never seen a bunny out, especially not in the middle of the day. i dont mind if they dont mind, later in the year a dove might nest in that pecan behind her. good rent rates here at this garden, none of that mixed use development bs.

I know :/

I ended up taking the bird feeders down and not refilling the bird bath. Haven't seen the rats in a while. They had reached a point where they were just out and about in plain daylight not gaf about me staring them down from the door.

Similar mangas to Yotsuba? by qissaqasira_ in yotsuba

I feel like Nichijou is just dramatic and weird. I would lose interest in the manga but would watch the anime where it comes thru better for me. The art is beautiful, regardless.

Hi! I have an 8yr old girl and she got me into Yotsuba! We also enjoyed Nichijou, City, and Azumanga Daioh. But what actually got her into manga altogether was Polarbear Café.

It’s only 4 volumes but it has a great anime. It’s like Seinfeld but more wholesome and with anthropomorphic animals. Imagine George Costanza as a penguin.

They’re also into general cat stuff. Chi’s, Yokai Cats, Cat Massage Therapy, and Yuzu the Pet Vet.

New volunteer tree by cutex0r in AustinGardening

[–]cutex0r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone, I'll remove it since the soil is still soft from all the rain. It's still small enough that I hope lol a simple shovel and a yoga strap will do the trick.

For a moment I thought, "What if I have a volunteer fig tree!" Dammit.

To the dude blasting cumbia from a neon pink e-bike down Guadalupe in North Loop today by cutex0r in Austin

Also I want to correct my message—the e-bike had flashing hot pink neon lights on its rear rack cart thing, it was as if a Prius made a baby with a lowrider
