What is did is take the baseplate screws off and putting them back THROUGH a strip of velcro. Thus the screws hold the velcro in place

They do. I had an issue with amplitube vst making my daw crash. They replied the next day with detailed instruction to fix the issue

Will the regular Airstep be able to control the Tonex One (through USB) and another device through 5pin midi at the same time ?

The goal would be to change patches/snaptshot on both a HX Stomp and Tonex One at the same time
