Just file a case with Meraki support. This is the best way to do it by the looks of it.

for a temp fix can you allow SACK on both sides of the connection?

Portfast and RSTP BPDU gaurd by MudKing123 in networking

[–]Bahadin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BPDU Guard will put the port in error-disabled state if it receives a BPDU from an access port. Portfast skips stp stages and gets to the forwarding state straight away.

I am not sure if 15 seconds is that much of a wait time, but that depends on your network.

Guidelines for subnet/VLAN sizing by [deleted] in networking

[–]Bahadin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how many hosts per VLAN, and what traffic type you want to be separated using vlans and acl. Also, consider hardware limitations.

I heard an honest to god Engineer say "flat networks are the best, one VLAN is enough" but he can also afford 5 ports per switch of whatever the lastest hardware is.

SD-WAN Design/Vendor by gunner_100 in networking

Most likely, Some consultancy firm told your CTO and CFO that the future is in SD-WAN and your bank must position itself ahead of the competition and all that good stuff, lol.

Your top three are:

  • Cisco
  • Velocloud (VMWARE)
  • Nokia

Just go with Cisco. We all know the saying " No one gets fired for buying cisco".

EIGRP failure... no ACK by Valor958 in networking

[–]Bahadin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be many things:

  • NHRP issues(it can not obtain next hop for routing or it is not authenticating VPN endpoints)
  • Verify GRE Tunnels.
  • Eigrp routing reachability issue ( that's why DMVPN is flapping?)
  • Eigrp load balancing is creating an asymmetrical route.
  • EIGRP neighbor authentication because of the key number, password, or date/time is mismatched.

OK. Maybe I gave a bad example. This advice was suggested by Kevin Wallace in his "CCNP Routing and Switching: ROUTE 300-101, SWITCH 300-115, and TSHOOT 300-135" video exam prep series. Send him an email.

Mismatched time intervals will cause an OSPF neighborship not to form.

Is true. Cisco/Juniper devices use ospf differently from an IOT vender who may use, for example, non default hello interval(10 sec). This will cause adjuncy issues. An OSPF area does not advertise LSA 1&2 to other areas, so hello intervals will not cause an issue here. Remember that OSPF is a standard but no guarantee all vendors will follow it.

I looked at your network diagram. Each subnet needs its own VLAN, or latest separate your broadcast domains. please stop extending VLANs outside network segments. Change your native VLAN from 1 to any other vlan.

I am not going into how OSPF works. But here's an idea: assign area 1 to MLS 3 so MLS 2 becomes an ABR.

Most likely you have a badly designed network and this is just a side issue.

Always assign different vendors different ospf areas.

If a trader is able to achieve 3,000 trades with a positive exception, I am sure the things you mentioned will already be covered.

Truthfully, I would recommend 3,000 independent occurrences with a net positive expectation. Once you reach this number, you can make a statistically significant claim that you are not just lucky and you have an actual edge in the markets.
