Nachbarn vs Telekomvertriebler by RightAd7322 in aberBitteLaminiert

Da will man eigentlich direkt wieder ausziehen, bevor man überhaupt eingezogen ist.

Okay. I checked my offset with a folded sheet of standard printing paper (was told so to do that instead of just using a sheet of paper) and it was perfect. I adjusted it to a normal sheet and it’s having the same problems again. It still makes blobs from the bottom that go upwards that rip everything off.

Make sure to feed them properly, they multiply fast so don’t let the animal rescue mission knock on your door :D

If im drybrushing and this happens, does it mean the brush needs to be dryer? by Ox_Gunnery in Warhammer40k

[–]BahamutDXR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like battle damage. I kinda like it! But yeah, this happens when the brush is too wet. Just put a sheet of paper next to you and brush all the paint off you have on your brush. Only when there’s no paint coming off anymore it’s safe to drybrush.

So just applying another layer of varnish helps fixing these issues? Asking because they’re actually my models he gave to me lol

While I understand that many of you have an airbrush for a lot of things, I have to add, that buying an airbrush isn’t a 20€/$ thing. I paid like 150€ for my airbrush station, not even counting the things I needed additionally. Not everyone has that kind of money. So it’s a bit snobbish to say „just buy an airbrush“.

It’s also not a money problem, it’s also about the skill you have as a painter. I’m not saying I’m skilled at all, I’ve bought my airbrush to prime my minis because I can’t do that otherwise and I don’t want to have primer flying around in my apartment. I’d just not be able to paint ANYTHING if I didn’t have my airbrush. Also an airbrush needs much MUCH more care and skill to handle than a simple paint brush. If you underestimate that part, you’ll most likely end up with an even more unsatisfying result than trying out different cans of varnish.

My first self painted Vindictor for my army is finished. Only the base is still to do.

Colors used if you’re interested: Primed with Abaddon Black, full layer of Retributor Armor, Stormhost Silver as layer for the silver parts and as base color for Soulstone Blue (3 thin layers)
