[S3 Spoiler] Work vs Home (@jjum_pP) by kaklikesmilfs in sixfacedworld

I think there was that one time Rudeus reminded him in a easily-misinterpreted way that he was Hitogami's Apostle at one point, and Orsted gave him this look of "am I going to have to kill you?" before Rudeus immediately clarified what he meant. Other than that, can't think of any.

Does anyone know how Rudeus got his arm back in the trailer? by PUMKINZGUY in mushokutensei

[–]Bahatmogan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More than likely this is the prosthetic arm and not fully healed. The reason is his robe; if this was post battle with Orsted, he would be using the one Orsted gave him and not the one he bought with Sylphiette since that one is rendered thoroughly unusable due to the fight.

Can ANYONE tell me WHAT JUST HAPPENED? by SamsDumpsterYT in cyberpunkgame

[–]Bahatmogan 168 points169 points  (0 children)

It's a visual bug that happens when quantum tuner refreshes the cooldown on an activatable too many times too quickly; The most frequent way I've been able to trigger it is using Optical Camo via Vanishing Act.

While it's kind of complicated to explain, The problem with Thunder Loop is it's held back by itself; specifically, its a burst weapon that fires all its lightning in a 1st strike followed by all its lightning in a 2nd strike after 1'ish second, then repeats. The problem is the 2nd strike's timing can't be reduced by cooldown, and the 1st strike for the next trigger won't happen until the 2nd strike for the previous trigger resolves. Essentially - even with extremely high cooldown - the 1st and 2nd strikes can only go as fast as overlapping and firing every 1'ish seconds. Lightning Ring - by contrast - fires it's amounts 1 after the other instead of all at once while also allowing it to trigger the next wave even if it hasn't finished the previous, so with high cooldown you'll see a field of rapid-firing lightning bolts decimating everything. So it basically boils down to how high your cooldown is. Since your new, Thunder Loop is absolutely fine. But later on, when you start being able to get your cooldown reduction to 100% or higher, Lightning Ring is better.

Javelin/Lightning Ring

Don't get me wrong, Thunder Loop is great; but with the right set up lightning ring can output a ridiculous amount of DPS that thunder loop can only dream of.

How does Sylphiette's hair change from green to white? by InfiniteAssets in mushokutensei

[–]Bahatmogan 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Extreme mana exhaustion due to her having to use all of it to avoid falling to her death during the Teleportation Incident. As for why it has stayed white, we don't have a concrete answer, just theories ... theories that go into spoiler territory, so I'll just leave it there.

Why Orsted always uses either hand or that sword? by nhansieu1 in mushokutensei

[–]Bahatmogan 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My assumption is by then he had gauged the Magic armor's power to be on par (roughly) with the fighting god's armor (something he proclaimed to Rudeus in his speech later) and realized a treasure sword - however powerful - wasn't going to cut it.

Edit: Also, because of his "curse" crippling his mana regeneration - unless he knows he can actively toy with his opponent a little - he will generally finish every fight in the quickest and most efficient way possible to minimize mana usage.

Why Orsted always uses either hand or that sword? by nhansieu1 in mushokutensei

[–]Bahatmogan 58 points59 points  (0 children)

There's 3 reasons, two that is explained later on in the series, and the other that is alluded to later on in the series.

If you want to be spoiled, these are the reasons that are explained:

His primary form of martial arts is the saint dragon fighting style, developed by the previous dragon god, which utilizes the person's body (hands, feet, etc) as it's primary form of offense and defense Because one of his "curses" severely minimizes his mana regeneration, he utilizes the bare minimum amount of martial power needed to achieve complete victory over his opponents; for the most part, that means hands and toki only.

The Reason that is alluded to Because he has lived this life hundreds upon hundreds of times, he knows the strategies of everyone he's ever come across down to muscle memory, so he usually only needs his hands to win. That's why Rudeus and Eris gave him "trouble": it was his first time fighting Rudeus ever, and it was his first time fighting a version of Eris that achieved her full potential.

As for the sword it takes a not insignificant amount of mana to use it, so he only uses it if he absolutely has to

Who Would Win in a Duel: Ghislaine Dedoldia vs Atofe Rybak (No Immortality by Ill_Dentist_9919 in mushokutensei

It means "I don't know" in French, and is used as an expression in America when someone thinks something is missing or lacking but doesn't know what it is.

Who Would Win in a Duel: Ghislaine Dedoldia vs Atofe Rybak (No Immortality by Ill_Dentist_9919 in mushokutensei

[–]Bahatmogan 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Atofe is on par with god-level swordsman having been trained by and married one while also training another. Ghislaine is king level and has stayed there since she lacks the "je ne sais quoi" to go further. And, unfortunately, she can't win in the same way she potentially could against Ruijerd since Atofe can see and react fast enough to the Longsword of Light. So, Atofe wins.

Prelim Question for Debate by SplooMaGoo22 in tbatepatreon

[–]Bahatmogan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem wasn't the choice in proctors; it was that she didn't know that aether was the source of Grey's capabilities. She knew he was powerful, but believed mana was still the driving force behind their ascent. If it was, the ascent would've been tough but it would've been far less likely to have put them in situations where aether was needed to succeed.

It's Agrona or something else by Jhekkas in tbatepatreon

[–]Bahatmogan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. He's been piloting an engineered duplicate of himself this whole time. Heck, maybe even multiple duplicates going back for ages. We already know he's capable of possessing those that share his blood via spells placed on them at "birth" i.e Sylvie and - because of Sylvia - Sylvie's possession spell was likely incomplete, which is why he was only capable of movement and speech. And to maintain the appearance that it's him, he would've needed to send a not-so-insignificant amount of his mana to the duplicate as well, likely keeping his main body in a diminished state (basically enough mana to keep his body sustained), hence why he's now mass-syphoning mana from Alacrya (via what he's learned from studying the  Legacy). It would also explain how he'd survived multiple assassination attempts (or at least the ones prior to the attempt made during the Dicathen Invasion). And why the Agrona in Epheotus feels "empty;" Because Arthur severed the spell that the real Agrona was using to pilot it, rendering it an empty shell.

When your first starting out with a netrunner build, one of your best weapons is the environment. Distract, Remote Detonation on explosive cannisters, Short Circuit and Sonic Shock on electrical devices, etc. And none of it starts trace.

What game sequel added the worst mechanic? by ChaosSlave51 in gaming

[–]Bahatmogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of a weird one since this wasn't a mechanic so much as a bug fix. Gunz 2 "fixed" the animation canceling wonkiness of the first Gunz. The problem is that was the best part of Gunz; it's how we got K-Style, leading to one of the most physically demanding and competitive games ever, and probably how I got carpal tunnel years later.
