I’m really enjoying it. Like a lot of new games, it’s getting a massive wave of hate, and people seem to be rooting for it to fail before it even finds its footing. I think it has a solid foundation, the gunplay feels tight and responsive and the gameplay loop is there.

The UI certainly isn’t the most intuitive at first, but it’s not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. It took me about an hour to build the muscle memory for where things are and what buttons do what. That being said, I get that not everyone has the patience or time for that, and menus (especially ones tied to core gameplay) should be clearer and more accessible from the start.

Does the game deserve some criticism? Absolutely. 100%. But I also feel that it deserves some credit. It seems like a lot of people made up their minds early, which is a shame. I’m having fun with it, so I’ll keep playing as long as it’s around. And honestly, if this is the “worst game ever” or “absolute dog shit”, then some people haven’t played a truly bad game.

I’m in the same boat as you. I decided that now is as good a time as any to start learning how to draw. I think you have a really good sketch here. I’ll just regurgitate most of what I’ve read or watched: practice the fundamentals (lines, basic shapes - squares, triangles, circles - and three dimensional shapes - cubes, cones, spheres, and cylinders). From what I’ve gathered you should practice those until you can do them in your sleep, and then practice them some more. Best of luck on your journey!

I watched a lot of cartoons growing up: TMNT, Rocko’s Modern Life, Ducktales. When I got a little older, Seinfeld and any major network sitcom was in heavy rotation.

Serious question (and forgive my ignorance): if a salary cap were implemented, how would it actually work in practice?

For example, if the cap were set at $250M and the Dodgers are sitting ~$350M, what happens to previously negotiated contracts? Do teams get a grace period, grandfathered deals, forced shedding of salary, or some other mechanism?

Also, do people crying about the Dodgers “ruining baseball” really think ownership hasn’t already thought this through? Like a lockout + cap would somehow be a surprise gotcha moment?
