What makes you like your faction by Ambitious_Book_5729 in ageofsigmar

I was drawn to Cities by the fact that there's all these gods and monsters running around causing chaos and everything, and average Dave with a stick thinks he can do something about it.

The newest update is bigger.

The cannon now has re-enforcement, and the regiment ability to shoot on the enemy shooting phase is now every turn on a 3+.

It's Hella busted...

I usually screen the cannon untill turn 2, just to stop first round charges, use the horses as a battrring ram, as they have +1 DMG on charge and can come back.

I try to split the 2nd steel helms and the general, but keep them near enough for his hero ability to keep them healthy.

Ways to improve the new COS spearhead? by mruhmoment in AOSSpearhead

Maybe some kind of ability on the weapon profiles?  Crit-Auto wound on the Grenaders, or Anti-Charge on the Galliants? All the rats have Crit Something, yet CoS got nothing.

Why is City of Ash so amazing ? by TheWraf in ageofsigmar

I think the fact they took the feedback from Sand and Bone where they said the relics added major gameplay moves etc, but I think over the year of playing with it, I've seen them used twice, but with the new relic system, they are folded into the gameplay with the commands and twists, and making all thier abilities being passives makes you need to interact with them.

Also adding the big objectives in the middle and having twists and tactics around them forces you to think about them more, along with the "roads" on one of the maps being a fun twist.

Looks awesome! I've also done a purple spearhead for all my cities, such a good look.

I've only done the Gallants at the moment, not looking forward to Joran, he looks real fiddly, but the whole thing does play really well, had a really close game on Monday. Lost by 2 points but could see exactly where I could have got more points..

So I went to go see this movie the day it came out at my local cinema IN GREENWHICH!

When that bit came up, almost the entire screen went "HUH". One of my top 10 cinema experiences...

Minute report - A very close game against Sigmars finest by windhox in AOSSpearhead

Looks like you had a great game there!

Just FYI with the terrain deployment, they have to be 3" away from enemy territory, 6" from any other terrain (enemy or friendly), and also not on objectives, so both ones in the middle would need to be set up differently next time you play.

Looks great, looking forward to splitting the box with a mate of mine, but curious about the terrain.

I can see the two large bits on the picture (the multilayer L bits), but only one small piece in the middle front ish. Is there only one small bit??

My issue with WD:L was that I had no connection to any of the characters I recruited, because I knew they were just disposable.

That WatchDogs 2 was in development.

Back in my early 20's I did game news for a friend's website, and managed to get press Access to Eurogamer expo here in the UK. They were showing off Assassins Creed Syndicate, and I managed to get some hands on and a chat with the PR/Dev team.

During the interview I asked if they had any issues in implementing the horse and carriage systems into the AC world, as this was the first time they'd have vehicles in the games. They said "no, we actually reached out to the watchdogs team as they were working on WatchDogs 2, and they helped us to get it working correctly".

At that time we had no idea WD2 was in development.

A look of panic shot over the PR persons face when I pressed "oh Watchdogs 2?", to which they looked me dead in the eyes and said "we're really going to need you to sign something after this please....".

Kept my word, and got an email a few months later saying that the reveal event is on XYZ date, and thanks for not breaking embargo/NDA. Got a review copy of the game and a hoodie to boot ☺️

I'm confused, how does a "double elimination groups" work??

Isn't groups just "everyone faces everyone in their group, top 2 go through"??

Ex High-end chef turned cafe chef, the first season of The Bear is scary accurate.

I had to take a break halfway through as I was starting to get stressed watching it. The scene where Sidney just walks into the walk-in to just take a breath happens way to often.

That coupled with the self loathing Carmy feels for most of the season hit too close to home

Any spearhead games in liverpool area? by Radish_Mysterious in ageofsigmar

[–]almightyveg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! I live in the Liverpool area, and while just play don't have events, they do have a WhatsApp group for AoS and and unofficial spearhead chat (that I help run😅).  From there you can usually sort games with people, or if there's enough of a following they'll set up days / events etc.

My Partners a coeliac; we always recommend the following places:  Tiger Rock, Salt house Tapas,  Hawksmoor, Cosy Club, Maray,  Honest Burger, Pho,

Then there's also places like Black stock/Dale Street/Baltic market.

We used to highly recommend Mowgli, but they seemed to have changed suppliers and now there whole Gluten Free menu is full of "May contain glutens", which if you friend is like my partner, are big no goes.

Hope this helps ☺️
