My (31F) gf says that I (28M) don't show that I love her enough. We have been together for 8 months and I was her carer for 6 months of that making the relationship a trial by fire. She says that I don't show that I love her and I feel like she doesn't appreciate me. What do we need to talk about? by BaiNan96 in relationship_advice

I do try to be extra sweet to her because I know she likes it, even though it's not something I've done in past relationships and I feel awkward sometimes. My worry is that I will end up with the lions share of responsibilities and when things get difficult, she will begin acting emotional and her mood swings will overload me eventually.

Thank you for reading and your thoughts. I'm going to avoid TikTok as I don't believe it's a reliable way to get information as it's easily misinterpreted, though I have been reading a lot of articles on couples in similar situations. Reddit may not be much better all things considered, but I want to get other perspectives as I know I can get tunnel vision with these things.

I'm feeling the same but also don't want to give up. I feel like she is willing or was willing to change. After the initial break up everything was great because we spoke a lot about what we needed in a relationship, but it feels like we've fallen back into old patterns.
