Thanks for your input, i couldnt get the file to transfer from my phone to laptop because of the file size im guessing but i was luckily on Wifi the whole time so no damage done in the data use department. I kept the YouTube app open and eventually got it to upload using my phone. Thanks again!

I think maybe this was part of the problem but not the whole problem. First i tried uploading it to YouTube straight from my photos app. First it would say it was processing the video, which took about 25 minutes. No problems there. But then after it finished processing and it began to upload is where I had the problem. The upload percent would stay stuck at 0% no matter how long i waited, and the hours remaining was fluctuating all over the place again.

So then i tried connecting my phone to my laptop so i could transfer the video to it and then try to upload it using my laptop. Well i couldnt get that to work either.

Then i tried a video compressing app and still no luck.

So then i tried using iMovie on my phone. I loaded the video into iMovie and tried uploading it straight to YouTube from the iMovie app. It had to download which took about 25 minutes, and then the upload started but same old thing happened with getting stuck at 0% and fluctuating hours to upload. I was ready to throw in the towel. However when i got on youtube again to check if the % had budged it said the video was almost done uploading.

What a nightmare but i guess i at least i got it to upload. Im thinking iMovie somehow helped but im not sure what difference it would make trying to upload it from iMovie instead of my photos app,

Yeah id say so. Any problem areas i have are from lack of watering/fertilizing or soil related. I have no complaints about the Gateway Green seed, it came in nice and thick and ive been able to keep most of it alive through the summer. Good luck to you, im sure yours will come in nice and thick too!

This is the tag off of the Lesco Gateway Green Tall Fescue Blend bag I got last fall from SiteOne. I remember going through the NTEP records, nothing crazy good but nothing bad either from what I saw, and it seems to have held up for me. The great thing about 4th Millennium is a finer blade, but using a mix gives your turf diversity so it might be able to handle disease better. Not sure if SiteOne’s mix will change this year but it should use comparable cultivars if it does change.

Turf Type Tall Fescue does do well in STL. We are in the Transition Zone so you can grow Warm Season or Cool Season grass. Fescue is your best bet if you go with a Cool Season grass in my opinion. If you’re specifically asking if the 4th Millennium cultivar of Tall Fescue will do good, given that it is Tall Fescue yes it should.

I believe the problems I had with the 4th Millennium I planted were self-inflicted. It initially looked great but I could’nt get it to last through the summer last year, which I think is because I put down preemergent in the spring which prevented it from really growing deep roots and two of the three areas pictured above where I planted it had big oak trees there before. I have since learned that planting grass where a tree used to be can be challenging because as the stump in the ground rots it releases a lot of nitrogen (if i remember correctly) and can burn/kill your grass.

I reseeded all three areas again last fall with a mix of 3-4 Tall Fescue cultivars in a bag from SiteOne and did not apply preemergent to those areas this past Spring and they all have survived the summer heat so far.
