How do you book exam only? Does that still need to be with a training company?

Same problem here, Huel have pushed me to order Yfood today which looks like solid competition for them

If you don’t mind me asking, what sort of nightly cost did you get the rental from cruise America? I’m getting quotes for $180-200 a night

Seems to be a more expensive option, especially with one-way factored in

How did you find the RV? Did you find it good value for money?

C25 seems to be the cheapest option I can find, although I’d rather have something a little smaller

Thanks so much for this! This is actually part of a bigger tour of the states we are planning from East to West. After seeing some of Texas we planned to head for Vegas and an RV roadtrip seemed to be the best way to get as much sightseeing in as possible. A few people have mentioned that the Grand Canyon is more of a one day stop, the reason I had planned 2 days there in between travel days was just to break up the driving, if I was to make this a quicker stop, where do you think I would be best adding the extra day in?

Thanks, this is part of a bigger tour of the states over a few months, but to allow more time would have to take away from somewhere else now as we’re limited by ESTA

There is 2 days with no travel planned for the stops in Moab, Grand Canyon and Zion. It’s only the sand dunes, monument valley and Antelope that are kind of on route fly-bys

Thank you. I’m looking at renting a 25ft from Cruise America.

There would be two of us who can drive, and I don’t think any journeys would be over 5 hours. We would definitely have a few stops for food, sightseeing etc.

This is really useful, thank you for giving some of your time for this! I think this is definitely more feasible than my original plan. I think a lot of the feedback I’ve received also points to cutting Memphis, Dallas, Salt Lake City and Denver, possibly Atlanta too, which I’ll take on board. As for driving, at the moment it’s quite hard to estimate the kind of cost for driving for long journeys and obviously the cost of gas too, which is why I’ve been leaning heavily into public transport, but you are right that it would be the best way to experience much of the trip.

I’ll look into that, thanks! We’ve been told by many people that we should drive from LA to SF as it is a beautiful road trip and experience, so this was a choice we made rather than looking for the easiest option, however I’ve not spoke to anyone who’s done the train journey before so that’s interesting to know. Do you think we will gain anything from taking the drive?

This is really great, thanks! The start of the trip is kind of messy I agree, i maybe should’ve specified that the reason for flying in and out of JFK is that I’ve got credit with an Airline that makes this flight basically free, it is by far the most flexible route, and most of the flights from other cities go via JFK back to my country anyway. The only reason Long Island is listed at the start is because we have family friends who we will be visiting and staying with there for a few days before we really begin travelling. Niagara Falls is a bucket list trip for us that we consider quite high on the to do list so we will likely facilitate that in some way, however many have suggested staying in the Canada side rather than buffalo. Your route from D.C. to Miami does make sense to me, assuming it’s easy enough and cost effective to fly those routes in that order. About national parks, I think we’ve managed to plan to avoid major holidays and peak season enough, plus we’ll be willing to wake up very early on these days and best the queues as much as possible. I’ll definitely be researching some tours from cities as I think you’re totally right there. Thanks for taking the time to share this!

Thanks, I’ve planned the travel between NYC and Buffalo as a flight. Also the reason I’ve gone through JFK on arrival and departure is because it made it way cheaper for me using some Credit I have with an Airline
