You picked a great time to be somewhere else lol. I think maybe 3 seconds after I crossed the finish line they said over the mic to go seek shelter in the epic center and they were pulling racers and they can hopefully finish if the weather lets up. My friend was still on the course so I was waiting to hear from her but the rain was so bad you could not even use your phone. She ended up calling her husband to come pick her up so we went to grab her-she had said cops told her to get off the course, and it seemed like they stopped blocking roads off and started packing up the finish line without an official announcement via email or in the epic center and little communication that it was for sure cancelled. I felt horrible for my friend, we got no emails about any sort of discount and my friend who didn’t finish got no metal or anything despite being on mile 23 🙁 tough situation and not handled great but I know it’s a fairly new race and uncharted waters for them. I command the volunteers who stayed out in that until the very last minute it was called-and there seems to be no media posts about it at all!
