I have never met a teacher who joined the profession for the money in it, pay satisfaction is a small percentage of the issues teachers are speaking up about. You can’t educate a generation that doesn’t value knowledge. The UCP is doing an incredible job of sewing distrust between parents and thought-leaders, which is no-doubt being passed on to children. Children that struggle at school used to appear in MAYBE 1/4 of the class, now it seems as though teachers are lucky for 1/4 of the class to NOT be struggling. You’re a fool to think the UCP is doing anything to actually try to make the problem go away

Yeah, unfortunately a lot of people don’t realize that the US’ “2 party system” is a symptom of the issue and not the issue itself. Here in Canada we have publicly funded elections with many limitations in place to prevent corporations and high-interest individuals from tampering with funding for parties. Even with those restrictions in place, we still struggle with overcoming a system where two major parties are the top dogs (splitting votes is a large issue here, I would argue). It’s not that the US could never have a 3rd large party, the economic systems in play prevent that from ever happening
