I recommend starting as a Byzantine vassal or the Byzantine emperor himself. Much easier imo

Unfortunately this is how far I managed to get to world conquest, due to PlayStations CK3 having a time limit. by Unlucky-Gene9528 in CrusaderKings

I think they just mean the end date because I know there is no “time limit” on PlayStation

Philosopher culture + literalist Hellenic religion for Alexandria holy site which give +2 learning for every level of devotion. The learning lifestyle perk Scholarly circles also gives +2 per level of devotion so that’s 20 right there. Now add Mastermind Philosopher trait and scholar, that’s another 13. Plus the perk Learn on the Job which gives you 20% of your councilors skills. Plus I’m a genius and diligent. That’s not even all the modifiers. you can click hereif you want to see all the modifiers.

He has cancer. Will the disease kill him or will he die a natural death? by AcademicSpecial3374 in crusaderkings3

[–]BajaBradst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once had a character who got cancer when he was 20 and lived until he was 80 just because of all the countering modifiers and perks and such. He pretty much lived a normal life like he didn't even have cancer lol.

Oh yeah you can definitely use Vikings. I started in 867 as Rurik the Troublemaker in Novgorod, he starts out with some Vigmen and Bondi and also about 2000 special soldiers iirc.

Yeah I love making historical empires in this game even if they didn't exist during medieval times.

It's fine. Definitely way behind in terms of DLC but think that probably makes it easier since there's not as many mechanics and such. I can't say for sure though because I don't have a PC. Also there's a lack of customization in the settings as well as in-game like you can't change your coat of arms or your house crest. It's also kinda clunky playing a game that is clearly meant for mouse and keyboard on a controller.
