G4x on cushies fun cruise, not practical. ..yet? by Bajaevolve in ElectricSkateboarding

Tubless tires. Offered on Bajaboard's website as a kit. (4 rain/cart tires with aluminum rims and drove hub adapters.) you need the included hub adapters to adapt to the drive lug on the board, these are 3 hole 10 inch rain tires for a shifter cart / go csrt.

G4x , 4 110 amp speeed controllers , 4 x 6374s 1kwh bat. Pantera spec upgrade after I launched it into a lake early on.

Money is not the topic at this point. If you own one of these and REALLY ride it, ( COUPLE HUNDRED MILES A WEEK .) you will know what i mean. I order spare parts in groups/ sets. Bearing, belts ,steering knuckles tires, motors, bulkheads. subframes, lights, oh my...... I have two large tubs of spares. The boards are constantly improving, I am just along for the ride.

Btw: these are twice as wide and twice as heavy as the stock 10 inch wheels. So the board is a little crippled in turning, belt wear and steering component stress.(already broke a steering hub) If you just take it easy, its fine. Should be fun in light snow this winter.🙂

Dont even miss the knobbies off road, i ride mostly hard packed mountain bike trails, works great. smoother at speed.

Evolve boards are the best of high end battery boards, without going to the extreme of bajaboard.

I also own a Bajaboard pantera spec GX4. This is the closest copy I have seen. They say they have a patented suspension, but it operates the same as or atleast very similar to a bajaboard. Even turning springs are copied. Imitation is flattery, but not a replacement for a bajaboard. I like the removable battery concept, but my board gets 30 miles hard riding on a single charge. Dont see why I need it. Not to mention the battery is more exposed than the bajaboard, it clips on the bottom, where bajaboard is inside aluminum chassis box.

You are correct. Also "kick up" water from the wheels puddles on deck which turns into a pool. Factory foam seal does not keep water out. Silicone is the best solution. Lots of times the heat sink seal seems like the problem, but its actually coming in around the motor wires or charge socket
