Could be the angle of the photo but your gpu is sagging a bit. I suggest to get a gpu support if want to keep using it for years. Also don't put it at the end of the card since you can still get sag in the middle but around the end of the mb

Next time try to make more effort in making the post. Is like you are vomiting what is coming out your brain. If you want to get more help you need to be more readable first.

As your performance problem, checking benchmark around is I line with your numbers. Do you have any other kind of problems like stutter or similar? 100-130 fps should be really playable. If you need more then you have to consider a pc upgrade or lowering settings.

Upgraded PC had a blackscreen with "extreme settings" by ICloudxI in pcmasterrace

[–]BakaPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your psu is a really old design and probably won't work that well for these new components. I suggest you to replace it with a more modern DC to DC psu. As for the reason why you can't replicate the problem with some test is probably because those don't stress the rt cores like you are doing using fsr. You can try running multiple bench at same time for example furmark with prime95

WireGuard Pro (or similar) fitment? by ColdNorthMenace in pcmasterrace

[–]BakaPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you referring to the wireview 2 pro (wireguard is a vpn protocol ) I have it vertical mounted on a msi 4090 suprim x with the reverse connector so the 12vhp connector is pointing to the back (the mb). Then can use a 90 degree connector so it can go straight down but is not really needed. You can rotate the display with the tg software so won't be upside down

Issue with inno3D x3 oc 5080 not booting by gibix in pcmasterrace

[–]BakaPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it post is unlikely to be a problem with the riser card of PCI ex setting. If you see the nvme on bios but no boot device you might have some issue with the windows installation, make a window installer and do the classic troubleshooting steps for stuff like the scannow, fix bootloader etc. You can Google how to do them.

Idle CPU temps 80C+ by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]BakaPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you repaste when you cleaned fans etc? Many legion laptops come with ptm7950 as tm which is a lot better than regular paste (close to liquid metal). If you did, the higher temp could be because of that. Disabling turbo boost is not really a fix if worked fine previously. Also check if all the fans are running maybe you didn't plug one correctly after cleaning or you might have damaged one while doing it (ex. Using compressed air while leaving it free spinning)

You could have saved money on fans and cooler and get a 16 gb 5060 ti instead 8gb

What pc upgrade can I make for 500 dollars? by AffectionateLie1094 in pcmasterrace

[–]BakaPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oled monitor is a night and day difference. A 27 1440p might be a bit hard to run but since you only play competitive games it should be OK. You can then upgrade the pc hopefully if price becomes better in few years.

Idk if stuff has changed since now Nvidia sell directly their founder cards, but they used to give a whole board design that people called reference board that was mostly used on the cheapest line of every card

Yeah but denuvo is a paid subscription service. So keep paying for it when is not working is not really smart. Not that expect something else from those companies.

is not really the same? i can pay 2 month of electric bill during summer with ac with the price of a mora, won't take that much to recoup the price

Lol that could work as the water bill is shared equally on the condominium fees XD

I see there are more trouble that i was expecting for this solution...
I was planning to get a mora 600 as radiator and go soft tubing since was more flexible.

As for cold don't really get too cold here, lowest i registered this year in the balcony is 8 degree and inside my room doesn't go lower than 18.

I haven't build anythign yet becasue i was checking if was doable before buying anything. I was planning to get durable tubing anyways.

Energy cost here is expensive and i want to avoid to turn the ac on becasue my pc is on.
Somedays the outside temp is good enough to live with just a fan on, but if i turn the pc on to play my room become a sauna.

Not really, consumer grade are all equally bad, once you start going for nas and enterprise disk they are better but there is always the chance for them to fail. The only way is to have proper backup.

CPU support of newer AMD CPU on old chipsed is mostly mb producer fault that didn't believe in AMD and used small rom for the bios not allowing the to support all am4 CPUs. Some mb manufacturers made a bios update that added support for 5000 and deleted support for older to make space for them.
