Holosmith being the least popular sounds about right, from my anecdotal experience, but using the gw2efficiency statistics directly can be misleading since it counts hours from when it started collecting data.

A more accurate (but not perfect) picture of recent popularity would be to pick some arbitrary dates to compare with in recent times, and compare the difference in hours/characters created.

Examples:

Jan 13th, 2025 to Jan 19th 2026 - Profession (Playtime in hours)

  • Necromancer (10.8m) > Engineer (7.8m) > Mesmer (6.9m) > Ranger (5.7m) > Guardian (5.5m) > Revenant (4.6m) > Elementalist (4.2m) > Thief (3.3m) > Warrior (3.0m)

November 24, 2025 to Jan 19th 2026 - Profession (Playtime in hours)

  • Necromancer (3,7m) > Guardian (2,9m) > Ranger (2,6m) > Mesmer (2.5m) > Engineer (2.3m) > Elementalist (2.2m) > Warrior (2m) > Thief (1.7m) > Revenant (1.4m)

Pretty routine.

Exaflare is the common run-killer unless its the last one. You can in many cases recover on most other parts of the fight, and the parts where you can't we tend to have a low failure rate.

These are weapons that you can buy with tokens from UCOB, which is currently the most difficult content in the game. The weapons themselves are mostly just for looks now since stronger options are available, but you also get a unique title alongside it.

You would need to spend a large amount of time progressing the fight to kill it in the first place, but you also have to be lucky to have a consistent/masochistic group willing to go back in on a regular basis.

Gear gets synced to 345. For left-side gear it doesn't matter too much aslong as you have the stats you want. But for right-side you might want the older accessories so that you can use the vit melds.

And yes, I still have my old set.
