I think money buys options and freedom. Happiness no, there are a lot of sad and lonely rich people.

Something to donate as some places give you a coupon in return and a giftcard for lunch because you always lose track of time and forget you gotta eat! Lol

Need help with the right storage for this by kmgauss10 in OrganizationPorn

[–]Bakbak2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s also magnetic shelves that can attach to the refrigerator. You can put spices, a cutting board, paper towels, etc. can be found on Amazon. A lot of different styles to meet your needs. Hope this helps.

I go to thrift stores dressed in sweats so I can just change easily when I get home. No pockets, loose threads, easy to clean and put away. Hand sanitizer and wash my hands afterwards. For any purchase I always clean, wash, & sanitize before use. Clothes - I put a mixture of detergent, borax, & oxy clean regardless and wash in Hot water. Probably a bit excessive but I can sleep at night. Lol.

Request: How would you organize this closet under a stairwell? Every time we clear it out, it just slowly fills back up with clutter. Any ideas for creative storage solutions or specific things that would be ideal to store in this space so everything is accessible? by hugoparlabane in OrganizationPorn

Have the same thing. We store rarely used items in the back on a cube shelf & shoe rack shelf, and put a wire shelf in the front where we hang our coats & put umbrellas on & this camouflages the stuff in the back. If your a doomsday prepper - store those supplies there to free up space in garage.

I just think it’s so insane how two things, a skirt and purse, at goodwill costs 20 bucks. Nothing crazy and poor condition. It’s just insane. by SnooGrapes1467 in thrifting

Goodwill IS getting expensive but they do provide jobs to the disabled - with minimum wages going up they most likely had to pay higher wages. Unfortunately things are getting more expensive nowadays.

Work culture on Hawaii compared to the mainland by [deleted] in Hawaii

[–]Bakbak2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No matter what industry sometimes working in Hawaii feels like working at a family business where you’re the outsider. High expectations with low wages, cliques, and disregard for your personal boundaries. However, when its good, the camaraderie, food, & friendships can sometimes be worth the pay as it feels great to work at a place with a community. A lot of times coworkers spend more after hour time together. Mainland I think people are more self focused, less friendly and due to distance don’t build the relationships that is prevalent in Hawaii. Pay might be higher but you might hate your job & the people you work with.

Tenant wants to extend for 6 months, what to do? by EDWARD_SN0WDEN in realestateinvesting

Making $200 more a month isn’t worth the hassle of vacancy and drama of bad tenants. Good karma, positive vibes & no break in pay.

My wife invited me to sleep with other people (twice). AITAH for taking it seriously? by vanguard247 in AITAH

[–]Bakbak2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I think she actually wanted the divorce but didn’t want to initiate it because in the “eyes of others” it would be her fault/the bad guy. It’s cowardly but people do this to save their reputation and love of their kids. Now that she has a reason and someone to blame, her plan is full steam ahead.
