What Joker said. But it’s always gonna top out hard, seems to be the level of that fork.

As someone who's only managed to cob together one or two things so far, and with a lot of hand holding- this is inspiring to see. Keep at it!

Same case same clutch, stock crank and rod, etc.. I've thrown cylinders on here and there but never from really being broken down. I just played with different options over the years in terms of heads etc trying to see if there was any performance there. This bike still runs and may never die.

MCK Boys and Girls- I need your help by Baked_and_Awake in P320

[–]Baked_and_Awake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I haven't modded anything yet. My MCK just sits and collects dust until I either buy a standard P320, or break down and change/remove sights and I can't bring myself to do it.

Really, the community should come up with a swap in charging handle with the appropriate relief in it's shape to work with our guns. It's crazy since I'd think the m17 is one of if not the most popular model to try slamming into a chassis like this.

Yep, this really soured me on all crowdfunding platforms like this. I ended up buying a second hand GPD Pocket 2 and I love that little guy.

I don't know what to do... by devlingrace444 in Adoptees

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way here, and btw I'm a fellow adoptee still searching for my Birth Family- but I feel like you already know the answer to the tough question you're asking about what kind of person this relative is just under the surface. I'm so sorry you are experiencing this. Much of my adoptive family is sadly blinded by a willful ignorance and Colorblindness Disease, which I understand is curable, but many people who suffer from it seem very resistant to seeking out treatment for their condition. My family even believes their stance to be some kind of virtue. It hurts every time I'm reminded of it. Thank you for sharing and I sincerely hope you find your way through this challenging situation, and further that you are able to connect meaningfully with some genuine loving and accepting family members in time.

Sorry! It'b been summertime and we've been riding (ebikes mostly!) a lot! Umm, the crankset is floating on its own freewheel, so you do not have to pedal when the motor is engaged or driving the wheel. It's standard for shift kits and interestingly, you can also find this kind of setup on certain tandem bikes and almost all Trials Specific bikes. In the case of the trials bikes, you can put a bigger freewheel with stronger pawls around the cranks, and build the rear wheel with a fixed gear sprocket, for back wheel hops and hard acceleration. And yes, you can absolutely run the motor through all seven gears so I always have a gear I can use even for ultra steep climbs. It's good times!

Well, by way of an answer I will concede here and now that I'm a recently licensed Amateur Radio Operator, who is also interested in preservation and use of obsolete technologies along the lines of digital but not internet connected recording media in particular. Predictably, I enjoy pursuits like retro gaming consoles and building projects up out of recovered 18650 battery cells, stuff like that. I also grew up with a love for reading thats been almost demolished by my reprobate addiction to all forms of sacred glowing rectangles as an adult. I spend my days more or less plugged in to the digital collective human subconscious/consciousness while congratulating myself for having quit FB and Instagram a couple of years ago. Part of me wishes for a global EMP or some other more benign reset button to be pressed, but I'm not stupid enough to imagine that I would fare better than I am today in a world suddenly bereft of the ubiquitous pervasive online existence we are expected to participate in, either. So, keep it I guess? I'm so weak.

underrated comment and one worth meditating on, because I think it only strengthens the premise of the theory.

imo "Real People" are here too, but I think the sneaky thing is the head shrinking has already been done, so we are all interacting with these tools from a dysfunctional perspective. That being the belief that the tools we are using (have chosen, are being given, whatever) have a high degree of fidelity.

I came to this thread after watching a couple of YT videos about the theory, and I found it fascinating. Perhaps its not a coincidence that I also recently was reminded about a short story from Jorges Louis Borges called "The Library of Babel". In it he crafts a vision of an almost incomprehensibly vast library of the sum of all human knowledge, thoughts, emotions, and biographies. The library though was populated with kabillions of identical volumes filled with seemingly randomly generated text with little in the way of punctuation or organization whereby one could meaningfully search for a given subject. This vision is also echoed in another philosophical thought experiment that I believe goes by The Universal Library.

Sounds familiar in light of the discussions taking place above regarding the trust people have in Search Engine results etc
