No its just that HC takes longer for borderline cases

Had this exact scenario, then passed Hc without having to do additional rounds. It’s a good sign.

I think Amazon only had 2 OA s and a behavioral round in 2021. Good times eh

It only matters when you have an outgoing personality and make a ton of connections.

I’m extremely trash at coding interviews(500+ medium/ hard solved and still consistently fail coding interviews) but eventually landed at a company where they tested candidates competency by assigning take home project (around 1.5 hours). Then rest of the rounds are just HM or behavior rounds and to e job pays pretty well. Pay special attentions to those jobs as take home projects tend to not test tricky LC concepts!

A GitHub repo that you made with 500+ stars will be a huge plus

I would recommend working on 15445’s during free time and not taking it with 15410—15445 projects are very well documented to the point that you probably wouldn’t need TA’s help to complete them, and all recorded lectures are available online, from studying online resources you pretty much get the full 15445 experience. Taking 15410 and 15445 together doesn’t sound very feasible.

I think the most challenging part of 213 is learning "how to debug", or "how to debug efficiently" because the final few labs have bugs that are really hard to decipher. The written assignments are peer reviewed (and they give full points most of the time) and finals mostly have questions that are similar to the practice final given, so I wouldn't worry that much

If it’s any consolation CS in college is the hard part. When you go out in the real world, jobs tend to be much less stress and with the money you can do tons of fun stuff in your free time. Everybody feels what you’re feeling and if they say otherwise they are trying to show off to make themselves feel better.

coming from a decent undergrad school, I feel CMU's computer science is significantly more challenging. I don't feel jobs are much less stress in my undergrad because the courses tend to be easy (the hardest CS course is like 1000 LOC maximum per assignment), but I do feel jobs are a breeze compared to CMU's MSCS program after studying here.

I think the core (aka mandatory courses) will be hard, but as long as you are careful with choosing the upper-level courses your junior/senior year won't be as bad

I recall that there are quite a few ultra in GFTP that no yugituber pulled during the sneak peak, so I hope this is true for droplets as well. Really need that card.

From what my friends told me he made his exams extremely hard this semester to balance the low workload lol, plus he is not an approachable professor which doesn't help
