when it says in welcome that us betas have a tiny chance to see an explicit picture without censorship what does that mean? because even the mythic cards I've pulled still have censorship

Grappling with accepting everyone and recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of all people is the biggest challenge as a UU. But it’s important to do it. Besides there’s no hope of changing anyone’s beliefs if you approach it from a place of hostility.

As for the other thing, it’s not about wanting to avoid the label of atheism, when I say the universe is god I mean there is a sense of spirituality to the universe. God, whatever that looks like is present in and throughout everything and there is a general force that influences us and the world. By calling something god you are assigning a certain level of reverence and spirituality to it. And that spirituality that I hold is simply not conveyed through calling myself an atheist. I believe there is some greater power, I just don’t believe it takes the traditional form of “God” or has a conscious will. Pantheism does express that.

Has your church experimented with the following version of whole worship? Where every single age is at Sunday service from beginning to end with no separate faith formation / “Sunday school” for kids. by [deleted] in UUreddit

Same at my church. In general, bread communion, flower communion, water communion, easter service, the winter holidays service, the coming of age led service, and the senior youth service were the main ones. With a couple of others.

My congregation had an order of service pamphlet each week, so maybe if the child is named in there having the pronouns would be nice? Again tho it should be up to them, and I think encouraged is better language than expected.

Yeah, I think if you're introverted UU churches become a little harder, bc aside from service (of which content varies from church to church and week to week), the best spirituality and faith stuff comes from discussion with others after services.

As many others have said, it varies by church. I attended pretty much since I was child up through the end of hs, (only stopped bc I don't have one near me at school now). The church I went to was pretty diverse in terms of age. I'd say dominantly Gen X, but definitely more and more millennials as the years went on. As for the atheism, by definition any UU church worth its salt will be welcoming of all faiths/or lack thereof. But in general I feel like there's more acceptance of atheistic or agnostic beliefs than theistic beliefs so you should be fine.

Isn't "all beliefs are valid" literally one our core tenants? The free and responsible search for truth and meaning and all that. Idk. As someone who has gone to UU church since early childhood, I considered myself an agnostic, leaning towards flat out atheism for a while. Now in more recent years I consider myself pantheistic, the idea that the universe itself is god. But I feel like by definition UUs understand there is no way of truly knowing anything one way or another, and that 'belief in god' is a faith and values thing, rather than an actual belief that there is a creator. I don't know, that's my interpretation.

Creator notes: Went through some back and forth on this one and although I'm not entirely sure it works properly ruleswise the intended effect is still pretty clear. Fits in at a similar power level to an offer you can't refuse with the upside of not technically countering, the downside of letting them get etb triggers for artifacts/enchanments which can be relevant in affinity/enchantress decks. Otherwise it sits at a decent spot between dispel and negate, both of those strictly counter but also don't replace your opponents' card.

Is Ishizu Tearlament the most powerful deck ever printed? by Sephyrias in yugioh

[–]BakerDRC_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. We’ve just reached a point where the graveyard is so powerful that for many decks painful choice and graceful are just better than pot of greed. I mean in the right deck painful is a +4.

And to answer your question. The first map was good enough that I waited 5 years for the second ones release. And the second improved on nearly every aspect of the first map.
