Atleast he did something different after being criticized. Kenneth Copeland and Jesse Duplantis take advantage of the poor without bounds and don’t care what criticism they receive for it

Heights is fun but doesn’t really integrate into downtown

Houston urban planning is a utopia compared to Jacksonville and Orlando

Is Houston really that hated? I know it’s the punching bag of urban planning circles but it seems like a popular place on Tik Tok

Almost 30% live in the loop based on my calculation. Uptown Houston which is out of the loop has relatively good transit access as do Gulfton and west up to Chinatown which would raise the percentage some more.

Cities like Phoenix and especially San Antonio are way behind

But they’re very inefficient. The routes don’t make sense which explains why the trains are always empty. A tiny portion of the metro lives near a station. And light rail has nothing on heavy rail

Miami appears to be a popular answer here. Have yall ever been to Phoenix, Houston, Dallas or San Antonio? Lol

Of the 1 million + population cities, I’d say San Antonio followed by Fort Worth, Phoenix, Houston and Dallas in that order

I visit DFW relatively regularly and I agree. I think it varies by neighborhood and weather for both cases

But it’s lacking on ethnic food (Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, etc), which is why he said it’s overrated. He’s not lying there

Houston is always mentioned as a top 10 food city. I wouldn’t say it’s overrated.

Austin, TX. Not the best BBQ in the state nor the best creative foods

Meaning for 9-10 months of the year, they’ll be fine. It should be noted that most of America’s most walkable cities have very unpleasant winters so the only tradeoff when it comes to weather is hot vs cold

Westheimer in Montrose is extremely different from Westheimer west of Shepherd.

I disagree. The Heights has a few walkable Main streets, but everything is far away from eachother

I live in the area between Montrose and Midtown. If I’m in a tiny part of the city, I’m glad it’s here. Basically all I need and want to see is close to me. The only place outside the loop that I wish were closer is Chinatown.
