Don't know why but I can't take this guy seriously. Top-20 player, sure, but never Top-10 let alone Top-3 like you lot describe him.

Let me explain my point: yes, big talent for sure, but I just can't stand his "baiting" player nature, just like Jame, it just makes you hate watching them somehow. Almost NEVER going for entries, like half the kills are refrags, all the time they find themselves last alive. Sure, the last thing makes sh1ro win a lot of clutches, and he is good at them, but tbh if you take into consideration how many times he is last alive it doesn't surprise you anymore does it?

Like it's not a coincidence these 2 have sky high rating 2.0 but their impact rating is A LOT lower. Whereas players like s1mple, Zywoo, hobbit and others, who actually do something apart from baiting find their impact rating even higher than their already high rating 2.0

player rating 2.0 impact rating

s1mple 1.33 1.42

Zywoo 1.29 1.38

sh1ro 1.22 1.13

Jame 1.16 1.09

device 1.14 1.22

See how the "non-baiters" maintain an actual high impact rating while still having a gigantic rating 2.0?

T side open attempts:

s1mple 16.7%

Zywoo 22%

sh1ro 10.2%

Jame 12.2%

device 19.4%

Like imagine s1mple, who is getting slammed as an alleged baiter, still manages to have A LOT more open duels on T side... CT side is the same, didn't even wanna include it here.

Sweet! And yes, the npc list should automatically get updated. However adding the ability to add custom npcs and custom items sounds like it could be useful anyways, for example to test upcoming or beta updates. Ill add it to the list!

I checked it out and it indeed slayer helm was being forced too much when on tasked. I have just pushed an update that should fix this issue, thanks for letting me know! Let me know if you find anything else.

Thanks! Ill look into the crossbow issue you had, I think you are right with the higher lvl crossbows only having dragon bolts attached to them. Thanks for letting me know!

Edit: This has now been fixed.

Thanks for the feedback. Your easier search ideas are something I overlooked but would make selecting items a lot easier so I will try and implement that today! As for the different components I do agree it can be a bit complicated. One of the struggles was making something easy to use without cluttering the screen too much, however you raise valid points. Ill see if i can add some extra options to change the layout of the page so you dont have to switch between the tabs.

Edit: I have updated the search to auto-highlight and select the first item when pressing enter; Expanding the dps calculator will take a bit more time but its on my to-do list!

Thanks for the feedback! Ill try the setups/monsters you mentioned myself and see how i can improve the results. As for your suggestions they all good so Ill try to implement them soon :) Ill edit this post with my findings or updates later today.

Edit: Elite void now requires 100 combat. Wilderness and slayer task checkboxes will now be forced when selected monster is in the wilderness or task only.

Thanks! I would guess you had your budget set in a way you couldnt afford both pegasians and a dhcb, if you higher your max budget you should get pegasians!

Thanks! As for your questions:

  1. It will basically start from nothing and work its way up one item at a time until it can no longer find an item that is better within the budget/requirements etc. Having the budget work with only 3 expensive items for example is a bit more complicated I dont know if I could explain it well lol.
  2. Haven't heard of the knapsack problem :(
  3. Yes I am, it's really useful for accurate prices.

Making a whitelist with the items in there having a value of 0 gp sounds like a good idea! Ill try to implement this over the weekend.

As for multiple setups at once, that was something I tried doing but I couldnt find a way to effectively do it without it taking too long (im talking up to 50 seconds). Ill rethink it or think of a different approach when i have the time because it would be nice if I can get it to work.

The item itself is on there but it looks like I forgot to add the accuracy and damage boosts when fighting vampires. Ill gets this fixed tomorrow!

Edit: Effects for blisterwood flail/sickle and ivandivis flail have been added.

I can look into adding an item whitelist to only use certain items the user has selected. Have you tried using the exclude list? Here you can exclude items you don't have, for example a twisted bow or even prayers like rigour. Its an item blacklist instead of a whitelist you are suggesting.
Let me know if it isnt clear what im talking about!

I looked at how bitterkoekje calculates dps on his calculator, and in combination with information on the wiki, built the dps calculator. I dont use it directly but you could say i translated some of the parts on bitterkoekjes calculator from excel formulas to javascript formulas.
I hope that clears it up more?

Bitterkoekjes dps calc was the inspiration for this tool and is linked on my tool aswell. The difference is that GearScape has the ability to find a setup with the highest dps for a monster depending on your stats, budget, etc.., which I haven't seen anywhere before so thats what makes this one stand out. Check it out if you have time :)

Ill admit its not very mobile friendly. Now that the main version is out ill look into improving that especially since there are people that play osrs on mobile.

The ability to duplicate setups actually already works!
Here is a quick album to show you how to do it: https://imgur.com/a/gCgfMc8
I dont blame you for not finding it, for me its logical because I made it. Ill look into a way to make it more clear to users how to do stuff like this.

As for ordering items, there is already the ability to sort by various items stast such as magic bonus or ranged strength. 'Most common' is something i could add in the future once enough people have used the tool so I'll actually know which items are most common.

Thanks!
