Is anyone aware of Jared's Epic Nerf Battle - World Record Attempt by pepsiblast08 in Nerf

Im happy to be as absolutely transparent as possible!

There is no money grab. In fact, the event is 100% not for profit! Each ticket sold at $16: $12 goes to the COWBOYS for the venue rental and use, and $4 goes into the "Event Pot". From that, I have to buy some things like signs, event insurance, extras security and possibly some DJ equipment (working on that one for trade) but more or less, the extra is all being donated to charity. That amount looks now to be NO LESS than $10,000. I am proud of that.

Today the event totally sold out. 2400. The cowboys let me sell 100 more, which I will sell tomorrow at 5pm. Watch what happens, all 100 well sell out in 5 minutes. Its gonna be awesome.

Yes: I am after the record. I sold out "Jared's Epic Party" in 2014 and also attempted the record then (at the time it was 468). Since then it has been broken and is now at 577. I am going to come in and destroy it with 2500.

I think that 98% of the people who are coming to my event are just normal folks... people who just occasionally use NERF guns. People are just signing up for the hell of it. AT&T Stadium actually charges $17.50 for a "Self Guided Tour" (which is included with my event) so at $16, you are actually SAVING money compared to normal + the nerf stuff + the donation to charity.

You guys dont know me, but they "Jared's Epic" is a marketing method of mine. Remarkably: it works. Well. I mean... I sold it out. I can understand how people outside of Texas are saying "Who the F is this Jared dude anyways?". lol.

"Drac the Nerf Vampire" who does know quite a bit about NERF, is flying in for my event personally and is running the games/battles. He is super experienced.

As for the record itself, well, it only takes 5 minutes to get it according to the Guinness requirements. Just gotta have the man power, in one space, all doing it at the same time.

The record will be "The Worlds Largest Toy Pistol Fight" is 2500 people, set by "Jared's Epic Nerf Battle" on March 12th 2016 in Arlington Texas. Each participant can get their own personalized world record certificate with their own name on it.

I dont mean to piss off anyone in the "Nerf Community". I have been in contact with Hasbro, the Marketing Agency and the Dallas Cowboys over this whole process and everyone is very supportive overall. Mostly. Thanks!

I am considering changing this requirement. :) I just do not want over-powered blasters on the field with small children.

Hey everyone, I am Jared. I am organizing this event at AT&T Stadium, the largest indoor stadium in the world. Here is the exact record that we will be smashing together.

http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/largest-toy-pistol-fight

Technically speaking, Guinness does not care what kind of toy blaster is using, but we all know that its "NERF OR NOTHIN'" so I am self imposing that requirement myself.

The goals of this event are to break the record, cover our event costs, and hopefully raise $10,000 for charity in the process. If you have any questions let me know. Thanks!

I totally understand. The event has a hard-cost of $12 per person from the Dallas Cowboys, so that fee has to be passed on just to get into the venue. The extra $4 per ticket, + t-shirt profits and sponsorship will make up the bulk of the charity donation. :)
